Mauricio Pochettino has said Tottenham are as interested in what a player is like off the pitch as on it, and that giving young players an opportunity is a key part of his plans.

I keep saying this. There aren't many gentlemanly teams out there, and barring some rash reaction or a momentary lapse of judgement, our boys are just that. Very refreshing to see.

Chelsea have had a similar policy over the years where they have collected players based on not only their footballing abilities but also their ability to be a bit of a ****. I think it is so they can relate to the fans.

When will you be signing for them?

I'd rather have a team full of c**ts and win things than a team full of jolly nice chaps and win bugger all.

The Roger Federers beat the c**ts in the long run. We're building a team full of Federers.
I so much agree with this. I watch Poch at the start and end of matches - he is a big guy - always generous/attentive to the opposition manger win or loose. I watch a snarling ungracious Wenger and think he is a little guy. Im sure this rubs off on the players. Rise above everyone else. Rise to the top. Don't snap and bite and cheat. Poch's psychology is win and win well. Don't complain about bad luck, bad refs.....just concentrate on improving.

But the two are not mutually exclusive.
Some nice guys win: some absolute ****s lose.
I 'd rather have a team of gentleman winners
than losing ****s.
it's a false dichotomy
Much like the old play well and lose or play badly and win teaser.

Whisper it gently but that probably rules out Andre Gray.

That's part of the story. Chelscum want players who are masters of the dark arts on the field, and you'll go a long way before you'll find a darker artist than that snide, spiteful scrote Costa, not that he's the only one at Nazi Central.

Counter to this is the fact that Dembele has been banned for an eye gouge, Dele for punching someone and a horror tackle. thats before we even mention the Chelsea perofrmance last season.
We are not a team full of loveable gents, there is definently a **** factor and it's improved us as we just have more players willing to battle

Granted but these are isolated cases. Of course I dont want a teddy-bear team. But there is a difference.

Well they are not really as Walker, Dele, Rose and Dier put in plenty of hefty tackles. I'm not saying they are absolutely s**thouses like Flamini but I think you are being overly generous to say they are isolated cases. It's not like Chelsea/Liverpool or any other team regularly get red cards for shocking tackles, gouges, bites or any other general f**ktardery
