I see the media let's unsettle Tottenham's crown jewel by incessantly linking him to Man Utd because they're a far bigger club than Tottenham train is in full force again. Just like Poch last year. Utterly insulting how they continue to get away with this shit.

I can't agree with this Pinky . They've just stapled his hammy back onto the bone...We've already been seeing for the last 18 months - 2 years a Kane playing a different style possibly to protect his often injured body .Owen was honest about his hammy recently..he said he never sprinted because he worried about the injury...Kane is certainly going to be aware of this danger when playing .

He can still shoot brilliantly, his passes are sublime and is a perfect pen taker....but the bustling beast-mode Kane has quietly left us imo .The man who would terrorise CB's, press like a mad thing and create his own goals out of nothing , is far less in evidence .

The 200mill Man U story looks like pure invention to me , but should we get a huge offer from a foreign team ,its gonna have to be thought about at least imo .
Him bulldozing one of the Dortmund defenders at Wembley a couple of years back is one of my favourite moments of his time at the top. I really hope he can get back to that.

A couple of weak media links and this thread is moved to the transfer forum?

Move it back FFS. Disrespectful to both us and Harry.

United are now trying to cover their backsides to make it look like they can’t afford a big signing. Rather than the reality of going to them being a step backwards and us being unwilling to sell to them anyway...

What's annoying me is how easily people are throwing United forward as the 'top candidates'. Why would he risk potentially playing Europa League football for the next 2 plus years? And I know that could very well end up being the case here but I mean if he is looking to secure a big money move it would be to a club who has more of a chance of playing at the highest level every season.

United fans back to their 'let's just click our fingers and get him' mentality just because Bruno Fernandes had them playing good football for a few games. All these pundits should be asking why he'd even want to move there not whether United should buy him or not.
This is it, I would be more worried about the other side in Manchester.

With Kane, there is not many clubs that can afford him. City and real are the only teams who are going to do it, I'd be surprised if he went.

Genuinely think he will leave. When Jose was appointed, I think Harry would have wanted to see where the club was heading but it's pretty clear Jose won't be backed as he has been previously so Kane rightfully wants out. The guy deserves trophies and he won't get them with us. I will be gutted when he leaves but Levy and ENIC have put us in this fucked up situation and we are going to pay for it for a very long time. It is going to be a very tough watch for the next 3/4 years at least. A lot keep saying it but until they sell up, this club will win nothing.
Firstly it is pretty clear he won't be backed because....?

3/4 years with Lo celso, ndombele, dele, Winks, sanchez, sess, Fernandes, foyth, Bergwijn etc. (some of the best young talent around).

3/4 years with the best manager of this century.

3/4 years with son, Toby, lloris (some of the best players in the world)

Yes we changed manager mid season after reaching the cl final and achieving cl football.

Why are you linking the Kane situation to how enic and levy? Or is it any old reason you decided to stick the knife in?

Plus Aguero is probably going to leave in a year’s time. It’s all aligning for him to go there were he to leave.

Firstly I have never been one to jump on Levy and ENIC. I have always been very patient. However, my point is they missed a huge opportunity to sign players when we had a genuine chance at winning the title. We stood still for too long and we have paid for that. We had a great team but were a couple of players short of being a title winning team. Kane is apparently ready for a new challenge as he feels he has a better chance of winning trophies elsewhere. It is also clear that if we don't get CL next season, then the money won't be the same, hence why I said Jose would not be backed as he/we may like!

What's a shame, and entirely predictable, is when there is a global pretty flat transfer market in the next 12 months and a focus on deals for top players at financially struggling teams, there will be an element that will blame Levy for being tight.

We spent loads this summer. And yes the timing was poor as we needed it 18 months previous but we had a stadium to build and for better or worse we prioritised that.

Now, having an incredibly expensive stadium the model is (well was pre Covid) plainly to spend to get us to the next level.

We may have hated the sacking of Poch but in no way can it be categorised as cheap.

Likewise the contracts we dished out for key players. The very contract for Kane that makes it unlikely he'll leave this summer. Not due to loyalty necessarily, but because the market isn't there for elite players. A report today has Mbappe valued at €35m.

I'd have had him as nailed on to go this summer tbh. Now however, I'm not so sure.

As I posted a while back, Sancho going to UTD ruins any chance they have of signing Kane. I don't think anyone could afford the pair of them and that's even without going into the FFP regulations.

I would ask for greenwood and Rashford in exchange if he goes there

We can't just blame the media. We're not uniquely persecuted - United get linked with players from smaller teams all the time. If in the last 20 years we'd won eight Premier Leagues, two FA Cups, four League Cups and the Champions League, I'm sure it'd be the other way round.

I don't see the point in getting too wound up - it's their job. There was a story published the other day where it was trying to create an angle that Man U were no longer going to be big spenders - is the media anti Man U now?
