I always liked Saltys snappy tackles (sometimes timed well, mostly not), but we have moved on and he is not good enough to match our ambitions.

Good Luck Salty - hope you do well at Fulham and secure a deal at the end of it.

Certainly an improvement when he joined the club to Kelly...but as things go he eventually got replaced by someone better....wish him luck and applaud his professionalism .... i hope he does sign for them tho .... Im a firm believer in 2 players for a position and no more

Good bloody riddance ! So I suppose the Spus Fan Club, who had Salty as their honoury president, will noe become the Fulham Fan Club ... oops sorry, lads .. highlight of his career was socring against the pikey Spammers !!!

Well said that man:clap::clap::clap:.
How he can call himself a defender is well beyond me.
Poor buy in the first place.
Shame the deal is not permenant.

He's been a good squad player for the last couple of seasons, and contributed to us finishing 5th a couple of years back. Good luck to the guy.

the problem with stalteri is he can't actually play football. Very athletic and tries awfully hard, but he is just complete and utter wank. Stephen Kelly is a better footballer than Stalteri, I'm afraid Paul is not even Premiership level....nevermind taking over from Chimbonda.

Stalteri's lack of pace really killed his chances of playing any more for us. The fact we had to take off a full-back vs Sunderland when we were hanging on shows he is not up to the standard we need.

Is his contract up at the end of the season? If so, it won't matter that we've loaned him out till the end of the season :grin:

That's basically it. One thing for sure about Juande, he likes his full-backs to get up the pitch fast to support attacks, and 'fast' isn't written on Salty's tin. Decent defender, much better than some are claiming, and a solid pro. I always thought he was brought in as a stop-gap and so it's proved, but he was an integral part of the most solid defence we've had in years. Those slating him are invited to explain that one away.

Good professional, always gave his all, scored a couple good goals for us. Wish him all the best, he played his part. Onwards and upwards!

I wonder if this means Lennon will get the no. 7 shirt next season now if Stalteri don't come back... :think:
