On the eve of the crunch clash, the team hotel was engulfed in firework displays strategically put on by Marseille fans.
The Spurs players' sleep was disrupted at 1.30am and 4.30am, with club sources describing the firework displays as 'very prolonged'. But while it seemed it had worked its magic throughout a lackadaisical first half from Antonio Conte's side, the visitors sprung a surprise with their fightback after the break.
