Totteham midfielder Giovani Lo Celso remains Villarreal’s ‘number one objective’ for this window, despite them being unable to afford a deal at present.
However, the answer may be staring them in the face in the form of defender Pervis Estupiñan. He is ‘on the market’ after Villarreal moved to renew teammate Alfonso Pedraza with a €50m release clause.

That, coupled with the emergence of talent in the youth team, means the Spanish side can ‘accept any of the possible offers’ they receive.
One of his suitors is Tottenham, who reportedly have the player ‘on their agenda’ as they continue the rebuild under Antonio Conte.

Torres is the obvious one but I suspect we're waiting to see how things play out at Inter (Bastoni) by the end of the month. There are also quite a few LCBs who would be great acquisitions for us and I think Villareal's valuation of Torres is pretty high in comparison to others we might consider, and if they want GLC for peanuts they'll have to adjust. Many would probably disagree but I think Lenglet on a cheap loan would be great since I'm sure he'd work really well in a back 3 and has a load of ball playing ability. Danjumah's the other one who might be interesting. There are other options to Estupinan too.
