Just seen that "apparently" Man utd are offering to pay up RVP'S last year of his contract to get his wages off there books and so he can leave. It might take just that to Adebayor out of our club… Wonder if Levy would consider doing that… Probably not but you never know!

How does paying up his contract get him off the books ? The cost is the same and will still be reflected in FFP. All that happens is RVP gets paid for a years work that he does have to do.

They aren't paying off his wages, so much as they are paying half of his loyalty clause.

He had 5 goals and 2 assists from mid-feb to the end of the season (12 PL games.)

In fact, since mid Feb, he's had:

rest of PL 2013/14 - 12 Games, 5 goals, 2 assists
PL 2014/15 so far - 12 Games, 2 goals, 1 assist

So since "mid February last year" = 24 games, 7 goals, 3 assists.

That's a PL goal every 3.42 games.

So even on the worst form of his career, when many think he's lazy and shit, he's more prolific than Les Ferdinand was. Plus Mido, Eriksen, Pavlyuchenko, Iversen, Kanoute, Dempsey, Barmby, Crouch...

From mid February last year he's scored two tap ins against Sunderland (one of which he didn't even know about, the other from two yards out with an empty net) and a penalty against Villa last season. This season another relatively easy goal against QPR and a good header against Newcastle. But it's not just about stats.

Since that point his performances went from the energetic, hard working Adebayor who constantly causes problems for the opposition like we saw in his loan season to the lazy, disinterested, ineffective Adebayor we've seen for most of his time with us. Presumably because he'd 'proven' himself against AVB dropping him from the team completely.

I've no doubt that he wasn't motivated by AVB, but Benteke is showing that Tim is just good with depressed black strikers. lol.

Still, he'll have a good record in our history just as much as AVB will.

Harsh to include Eriksen. The rest however well... aah fuck it throw in Postiga, Armstrong and Rebrov.

Mourinho wants him
, but I doubt Levy will let him go there
Ade is a better player now than Drogba who played a key role in earning Chelsea 6 points in their last 2 games. Mourinho is a better manager than ...most. I expect Ade will be in London next season...unfortunately not North London.

update from trix:
Quick update.
Ade to Villa is more than just talk and what ifs now,. The are actively trying to do a deal for him., and he is happy to go there. Money as always with Ade will determine whether a deal can be done or not
From the Villa end.

Perhaps, it was just context based on Eriksen's high scoring since he signed
