Thought it would be fun to hear everyone’s opinions on how the season has played out so far. Before the transfer window opens and teams get to make changes etc.

So here are the categories:

General Section
Best Player of the Season, so far.
Best Signing of the Season, so far.
Worst Signing of the Season, so far.
Manager of the Season, so far.
Game of the Season, so far.
Goal of the Season, so far.

Spurs Section
Best Player of the Season, so far.
Best Signing of the Season, so far.
Worst Signing of the Season, so far.
Game of the Season, so far.
Goal of the Season, so far.

Here are mine:

General Section
Best Player of the Season, so far - Mo Salah, though he’s apparently still lost in Ryan Sessegnon’s pocket, he’s been unbelievably good again so far this season.

Best Signing of the Season, so far - Given how many times he’s bailed United out this season, it’s hard not to give this to Ronaldo. Though I’m not sure he’s really what’s best for their team.

Worst Signing of the Season, so far -Grealish, don’t get me wrong, he’s a cracking player, but I still can’t work out why they spent 100 million on him when they already have Bernardo, Sterling, Mahrez, etc etc. They were crying out for a striker, so why didn’t they go all in on one? Bonkers.

Manager of the Season, so far - David Moyes, he’s got little West Ham punching well above their weight. Injuries are going to fuck them from here on out though, I reckon.

Game of the Season, so far - Spurs vs Liverpool, probably the most exciting game of football I’ve seen in a long time, it had everything.

Goal of the Season, so far - Salah against City.

Spurs Section
Best Player of the Season, so far - Hard to pick between Skipp and Dier as our most consistent performers. Skipp probably edges it.

Best Signing of the Season, so far - Our summer signings are yet to make much of an impact at all really, Romero looked good before he got injured.

Worst Signing of the Season, so far - Gollini, he just doesn’t look any better than Joe Hart, this transfer has really left me scratching my head if I’m honest. Just seems a waste of time and money.

Performance of the Season, so far - Slim pickings here, between the first game of the season against City or last week’s game against Liverpool.

Goal of the Season, so far. Son vs City.

Pretty much replying purely because how strongly I disagree with Ronaldo being the signing of the season.

General Section
Best Player of the Season, so far.
No real standouts for me so probably have to go left field with surprise impact and somebody like Connor Gallagher

Best Signing of the Season, so far.
Ramsdale - genuinely thought he’d be rubbish but he’s actually made them down the road more stable at the back

Worst Signing of the Season, so far.
Lukaku - expectation has to be taken into account so Lukaku has to be up there, completely the wrong style of striker they needed and his lack of intelligent movement slows them down rather than helping finish off chances. (Sancho very close second but Lukaku’s recent comments about Tuchel tipped him into top spot)

Manager of the Season, so far.
Moyes - Conte would be close for his impact and may get my vote by end of the season if he continues but can’t really look beyond Moyes at the half way mark.

Game of the Season, so far.
probably Spurs Liverpool as it’s had so much coverage even if they avoided talking about the blatant handball for their goal

Goal of the Season, so far.
Silva vs Villa - The quality made it look easy but that is one hell of a finish

Spurs Section
Best Player of the Season, so far.
Lucas - bringing a level of threat and consistency that we haven’t seen from him up till now

Best Signing of the Season, so far.
Tough as none have been that good. May have to go Emerson by default (unless I can add Skipp who feels like a new signing)

Worst Signing of the Season, so far.
Gil - Not been given much of a chance and hasn’t shown anything when he’s played. Looks quite lightweight but hopefully will show more once he’s settled in

Game of the Season, so far.
Either City or Liverpool both sparked new optimism inside the stadium

Goal of the Season, so far.
Lucas vs Liverpool - positive run, good improvisation then great finish
