Wish I was! Well worth a fiver.

Martin Chivers All-Star Spurs XI will be playing a ceremonial match against Latymer Old Boys at Botany Bay Cricket Club in Enfield on Sunday

One of the Club’s first recorded fixtures was against a team called Latymer in 1883 and the Enfield-based side feature prominently in Spurs’ early history. We were then known as Hotspur.

Martin will be joined by a squad packed full of Spurs legends, including Tony Galvin, Ralph Coates and Steve Sedgley.

Sunday’s event will also mark a celebration of Latymer Old Boys’ own history, with the main event being preceded by a match between the LOB club’s Under-14 side and Latymer School Under-14.

Gates open at Botany Bay on Sunday at 12.30pm, with the Spurs match kicking-off at 3pm. Admission on the day is by programme only at a cost of £5.

If anyone does go, let us know who was playing and the result. Ta.
