Liverpool are keeping tabs on Abdisalam Ibrahim
Ibrahim is currently on loan at Norweigan side Stromsgodset and got them off to a winning start against Sandnes.
The 21-year-old is held in high regard at City, who believe that he can become a big player in the future.
A clutch of other Premier League clubs are credited with an interest in Ibrahim including Everton and West Ham.
Roberto Mancini may let Abdisalam Ibrahim leave in the summer
He said: ""I am happy the way that the season has started and it is nice to hear Patrick Vieira was here to watch me.
"I want to continue improving and remain focused on my game and we will see in the summer what Manchester City plan to do with me."
