What really boils my piss is that they had every chance in the world to do some really sexy retro designs from his era as a Spur, including re-creating some of the classic kits as an homage to him, but instead, they use a standard XA template, add some "Yellow" (sorry, it looks neon to me)...
If I were Bill Nicholson and saw this as my "tribute", I would rise from the grave and cock slap the designer. Sorry, but he deserves much better than this as a tribute kit. Again, I'm not trying to be confrontational here, but I'm just really, really let down, and I think a lot of you guys...
Many fans have online. All it takes is an image editing program and the ability to not put 11, piss coloured stripes down the front of a shirt to symbolize some "tribute." But these people don't work for the design team of X Armour, so their points are moot.
And I do agree with you, the Kappa...
I looked up Yellow on the colour grid, and then I looked at the kit. It doesn't seem yellow to me, more neon coloured, but hey, maybe my sense of colour perception is off. Regardless, the stripes literally look like somebody rode over it 11 times with little bikes.
And for the record, I was...
Yes. I believe I mentioned the neon tire tread marks on the front. I am pretending that they stand for nothing, because to represent a fine achievement like that, with neon road kill tire marks, is beyond reprehensible. I prefer to pretend this was just a really bad mistake and not mention...
The neon/yellow piss colour piping ruins them both. Take it off the home kit and it would be pretty decent. Take it off the away and it would be a lot better.
I though the whole neon colour thing was a fad in the 90's, what is with clubs bringing it back in the worst ways in recent years...
Bleh. The lines are terrible and make it look messy. Like somebody was speeding and slammed on the brakes as they were running over the shirt, dragging bit of yellow line onto the fabric.
Pretty crap effort, honestly.
Oh, and the yellow bits ruin the home kit, too. It's not even real...
Nice to know (well, not really!). Fantasy Prem has him listed as match ready and set to start next week. Might have to sub him out for the first few games... :(
About time. They use it in almost every other sport to great effect.
Let's face it, sometimes the refs are just not in a good position to see an (apparently) obvious goal, so why not use a proven technology that has been used in other sports (most notably ice hockey in America) for ages...
Hannover Host Wolfsburg tomorrow. Hopefully a win is in the bag for Hannover. What is funny to me, is that Stoke are after Diouf, apparently. I think I will hang myself if he decides to leave a team that can challenge for European play for... Stoke.
To be fair, just because one uses a 'racial slur', doesn't actually mean one is racist. Just as saying 'the earth is flat', doesn't necessarily mean you believe it. That's just a pedantic point on my part.
However, I wouldn't welcome him, no matter how competitive he is. He's a lying...
A lot of teams changed their names in the early days of the league, and that was normal. What bothers me is when new sponsors come in and say "hey, here is a load of money, now change your name to better reflect our corporate image".
I realize this is the way of the world, but it destroys my...
He's a piece of shit. Simple as that. He loves to put his fingers in defender's eyes, as well as bite them, as he did to Chelsea. This is par for the course for this scum. And let's not forget how stupid he is, like when he whipped racial slurs at Evra and then the next time they faced...
$50 says he sucks dicks on the down low, but he asks jesus for forgiveness so it's all good. It's not like any super right wing, ultra conservative christians have used lashing out against gays to cover up their own undeniable urges and self loathing or anything :cautious:
After all the times I've rearranged my team, made countless transfers, worked on the formation and line up to maximize the double games in the first weeks... I realize it didn't mean a fucking thing since quite a few of these players are going to be transferred out of England in the coming days...
Oh, I agree that it's hard to tell, but Norwich has done pretty well over the last few seasons (solid mid table team, streaky at times) and their defenders are just a 'safe' bet for an easy 100 points each, which is really good for that price! If not, then I can easily dump them for someone else...
Their first three games are: Everton, Hull and Southampton with 2 at home. Norwich also kept 9 clean sheets last season (not super impressive, but pretty good) and Garrido (4.5) and Bassong (5) are pretty much guaranteed to net a minimum of 100 points each for cheap.
I mean, if they end up in...
