Johnson has those Sessegnon vibes.
The timid body language, scared look on his face, reluctance to assert himself.
Looks like he’s always fighting his intrusive thoughts.
The operative word from my post was towards.
Nobody is saying Villa are dropping a 10m signing-on fee for a Championship winger, but 10m difference between Villa and Spurs could be the difference between a London lad all of a sudden developing a Brummy accent.
The buy back clause is reported to be £15m, nobody else apart from Villa get him for under 25m, imo.
That's another £10m hypothetically Villa could put towards his wages/signing on fee.
Now tell me where he's going..?
Villa apparently have a "buy back" clause inserted. I'd be gobsmacked if this wasn't exercised seeing as he'd represent next to nothing in cost (taking into consideration the fee Hull have already paid), HG and club trained.
Also, an u21 international and a player they wont want to see sign...
Who's got more of a ricket in them? Royal or Davies?
Either player, when up against Saka is a clear miss-match, but Royal just screams penalty waiting to happen.
Royal seriously lacking in game time and match sharpness though.
Big ask expecting him to come in (stone cold) and deal with Arsenals most tricky, agile, in-form attacker.
Hypothetically...If Brennan Johnson was on a similar loan, say with a £30m option to buy, would you want the club to trigger his 'loan to buy' option?
Genuinely curious.
Isn't this a contradiction?
He was never going to be signed as a first-choice option whilst you still had Brazil's number 9 playing as your CF and arguably your best player (Son) drifting between wing forward and CF positions.
Pessimistic, much?
Prior to the Newcastle game, most on here thought BJ’s ceiling for “potential” was infinite.
Fast forward a week, and now suddenly he’s shit…
Like him or dislike him as a player, he's certainly a model professional off the pitch. Fair play - be more Ben!
I wonder if Ndombele has done his FA Level 1 Coaching badge now they've partnered with Mcdonalds?
We took him off and spared the injury worsening... what more could the staff have done? On this occasion the club or medical staff are exempt from blame. I'd say it was well handled all things considering.
