Ange Postecoglou and Tottenham will be hoping luck is on their side as the cut-off point for a two-match ban for ten yellow cards in the 2023/24 Premier League season edges closer.

The end of the 2023/24 Premier League campaign is fast approaching. As things stand, Tottenham are in an excellent position to return to the Champions League following a year away from Europe's premier competition.

What a pointless article that is.

I’d not be surprised to learn that there’s a similar article about every Premier League club: shame there was nothing much to say about Spurs.

Save you the click:

Kulusevski and Pape Matar Sarr are both on six yellow cards as things stand, thus meaning they would each have to receive yellows in four of the next five Premier League matches against Fulham, Luton Town, West Ham, Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United. Bissouma and Udogie, who have already served bans this season, are then next in line on five yellow cards.

As the aforementioned duo have yet to see yellow in the league so far in 2024, something would have to drastically change over the next few weeks for them to receive a two-match ban. Kulusevski and Sarr are the two players most at threat but they would have to obtain yellow cards like they are going out of fashion in the next sequence of fixtures to then miss out later in the campaign through suspension.

I'll just add to this, if any of our players see a red card between now and the end of the season they will miss games as well.

In other news, if an elephant fell out of the sky and landed on the Spurs’ team bus, players could be injured for some time.

This article barely scratches the surface!

They are also at risk of receiving a red card every game, being injured every game, and being hit by a bus (although their Range Rovers should shield them from any damage ;)

So it's more likely that someone gets suspended for a red card than too many yellows. Maybe they should list that as a risk for everyone in our squad. 🤔

Hopefully Ange has read this article and implements a no tackle policy between now and the end of the season, its our only hope.

Seasons finished, why always us.

Lloris and Dier leaving has really left us short to cover all these suspensions.

I really like both Guest and Gold. I really hope that someone with more clout gives them a job sometime soon so that we don't have to be suckered into enduring mind cancer much longer. These types of articles are absolutely beneath them.
