They have a few smart fans tbh:

Another embarrassment for Deco...

EPL is getting stronger and stronger pull.. that is players turning down Bayern and Barca for Spurs this window.

Barca fans/media will pull out the Cruyff quote and claim he wanted too much money as per usual.

That makes sense because we typically pay more than Barca

The Everton vs Spurs match is still going on. Currently, it is 1-2 to Spurs, so I don’t Know who’s going to win this yet.

Putting that aside, I’ll start this post match conversation going.

Regardless of who wins or if this ends as a draw; what are the Everton fans saying?

“Boooooooo!!!!”

The North Stand (Brighton)

Thread: Team for Spurs 10/02/24

  • Spurs play one way, very high press, so we need speedy players to run into the huge gap they leave behind them. I’m sure the lads are looking forward to this one, they’re the perfect opponents for our style.
  • I think we are also the perfect opponents for their style. Should be loads of goals😊
  • I think we are also the perfect opponents for their style. Should be loads of goals😊
  • and VAR checks 😥

Thread: *** SCORE PREDICTOR ***
  • 2-2
  • A lovely entertaining 2-2 draw
  • Tottenham 1 - 4 Brighton. What else?
  • 0-2 Mitoma/Pedro
  • I was there last year and VAR did us good and proper , let’s hope it’s reversed this time going for 1-2 to the good guys
  • That’s because we would have been knocking on the top four door. People don’t like to think of corruption although all those decisions in one game going against us really had a bad smell about it.
  • Staying with the tried and tested but seldom successful 3-1 to the Albion.
  • 1-2 to the Albion
  • My head is telling me it's going to be 2-1 Tottenham, but my heart is saying 2-2. I've gone with the latter.
  • I'll go 3-1 to Spurs sadly.
  • Spurs 3-1
  • Annoyed to see there's no third place play off in the Asia Cup so Son will likely be available for Spurs. If there's any justice after last seasons VARcical game, we'll win.
  • Gone with 1-2 to the good guys. If we play like we did Saturday . . . well it's 3 points in the bag. :albion2:
  • 5:2 to the Albion!
  • Just hope that this year, any obvious penalties are actually awarded to us, so that Pedro can keep his 100% record going.
  • 2.2 thriller
  • 1-1
  • 5-5 thriller
  • Oh, looking at our last 5 games doesn't help. 🤷 2-2
  • VAR 5 - BHA 0
  • Spurs 3 - 1 Albion 😢
  • If anyone has evidence of corruption, let’s have it. I’ve always been a cock-up rather than conspiracy man. We’ve seen shocking VAR decisions affect all teams this season. Every football fan in the country thinks their club has had a worse time of it than anyone else. VAR is pretty terrible, most would agree. But it’s pretty terrible for everyone.
  • 1-1 for me
  • Could be anything from 4-0 Spurs to 3-0 Brighton, including all stops in between. As we’ve been so up and down this season, perhaps we’re due another defeat after the Palace triumph so I’ll suggest a reluctant 3-1 defeat.
  • They’ll definitely get 1
  • 3-3 . . . . It's going to be a humdinger.
  • I've gone for a 2-1 loss as not so confident of this 1
  • Spurs 1 - 2 Albion

No one can call this one.

And tbf to them. Last season it felt like VAR was our 12th man. They battered us yet we somehow came away with a win.

They have their fair share of decisions - a couple of seasons ago I remember them completely wiping out a midfielder - maybe peh - possibly a red card tackle - scoring from the next phase
VaR recommended yeh ref have a look

Commentators all saying it will be ruled out 100%

the ref allowed ir

Why can no one call this one? They've only won one away match in nine.
Oh no you didn't!
SNL gif. Bill Hader impersonating Jim Jordan wearing a shirt and tie points at us as if to say, It's you! with an astonished look on his face.

How did Spurs beat Brighton?

Well, to sum up the Brighton forum, it's because

The ref played too much injury time

And the ref didn't play enough injury time

Well, I'm glad we've cleared that up.

🙄
