Wondering if Ange ever goes three at the back, does anyone know?

We'd likely get more joy from our wide positions if Porro and Udogie could push right up in midfield for some games. Maybe against park the bus oppo?
If I recall correctly, he has on occasions played a back three.

Push of fullbacks up!? Have you seen where they play already? Any further up and they will be on Park Lane.

He only does that if the opposition are outnumbering us in their press. He did it with Man City in the draw (I think) when Hojbjerg was playing deeper in the back line we were able to play through their press much more comfortably.

Having an extra man back will usually coincide with much faster play forward so to avoid getting outnumbered I'm the middle of the pitch.

It's a fair point but you know what I mean. All defensive shackles off to offer attacking width in cases of teams sitting deep etc.

His highlights reel was full of little shoulder barges he got away with. It did concern me a bit and yesterday he did it twice.

He needs to cut that out immediately.

From the few minutes he has played for us he looks to be more likely to collect yellows and reds than Romero. Little bit worried to be honest.

He obviously needs a lot more time and proper minutes. But his cameo roles so far haven’t really helped tighten up the defence. For example we were very lucky not to concede late v Man U (I think it was him who lost his man) and obviously we conceded yesterday. It’s not all down to him of course and could be tactical as much as anything else. But it shows that just throwing on an extra centre back for the last ten is no guarantee of shutting up shop.

Just think when he comes on we lose our shape or the players are not clear on what the strategy is.

He is definitely a unit for sure so see the logic in having in on when defending balls in the box

Well they were perfectly legit so not sure why he should cut them out. Only thing he needs to be careful of is the little shirt pull in the box but it was only brief so he was ok. Nothing wrong with him using his strength to usher players out. Defenders do it all the time, he just so happens to be more powerful.

It was Udogie who lost McTominay at Man Utd. Watch the chance again.

Yesterday in the Everton v Tottenham Hotspur match, Dragusin struck me as big and mobile. So when he moves he'll seem threatening to some opposition players. Listening to a Spurs podcast the other week, I had heard him described as 6ft 3ins and 'Olympian' so likely to impress during play. There'll be quite a few fans of other clubs annoyed that Spurs signed him.

I just hope we have better options soon with Bissouma returning that enables us to see a game out, not by chucking on defenders, but by introducing more passing options that enable us to get a grip on a situation rather than going on the back foot and inviting pressure.

If you watch how the game was refereed, it isn't an issue.

I think ange is keen to give him minutes and puts him on altering the shape
And dynamics of the team and actually invites the opposition to come on to us.

I don't think Radu is the issue. It is the complete lack of control and inability to close the game out by those who are in MF. Big difference having #10, #8 and #29 out there than the others at the moment.
