They could stick another tier on the Gallowgate End

Yes they could but their season ticket prices are a fraction of ours. Their cheapest is £417, ours is £807. Their most expensive is £1055, ours is £2233. And they are not going to be able to generate other revenue at their stadium like we can.

I was worried when they got taken over, I even thought Madders would choose them over us as I expected them to spend spend spend but I'm so glad I was wrong. If the rules remain in place it will surely take them years and years before they can catch up to the likes of City.

I seem to recall reading somewhere that the plan had been to do just that, and that they'd bought all the necessary land. And then one of the first things Mike Ashley did after he bought them was to sell the land to another one of his companies at a knock-down price...

That expectation can be forgiven as I think only a few of us, if any, thought that Ange would have had the pull on players that he has shown.

From Kumb on Udogie...

I'm quite impressed with him, and think Moyes should be looking at a sneaky bid this month.

That reminds me, I've been quite impressed with Taylor Swift lately. I think I should be looking at a sneaky bid for her this month.

The point of the KUMB comment was to set up the joke about How Much is Udogie in the Window.

So with Taylor Swift, you need to say. A Sneaky bid and despite some initial misgivings, hope we can Shake It Off.

Blue Moon (Their thread on our cup draw is 168 pages currently. They have a lot to say!)

During The Draw

  • Dips at home please
  • Wigan away, revenge is sweet
  • Anyone at home
  • Get on with the draw, Seema.
  • Why do they have to have this preliminary chit-chat. Just pull the fucking balls out!!!
  • Wheres Joey Barton when you need him.
  • Are we at the bottom of that list?
  • Chelsea v Villa - tasty
Post Draw
  • Fiddled
  • Spuds away
  • Away at fucking spurs ffs
  • spurs away thats us out
  • Fuck
  • Just read the fucking names out, no need for an irrelevant fact regarding each club ffs
  • Put the suits back lads
  • Fucking spuds away! Ah well.
  • Oh just fuck off Mabbutt
  • Fucj
  • Spurs away, good to go out early anyway.
  • SPUDS!!!!
  • Damn, I was hoping for Wigan at home.
  • Oh well we’re out
  • Spuds. Meh.
  • Knew as soon as Spurs were drawn that we’d end up with ‘em.
  • you can’t make this shit up
  • Shit.
  • Oh dear
  • Got to beat them eventually at there New place. Bring it on.
  • So far earlier I predicted Dippers, Chavs, at home. Utd draw is away to Newport or Eastleigh. They don't want us winning this cos we have about a 2% chance of winning at the cheese grater. What a funking awful draw.
  • Surely these fuckers are due a proper twatting off us. The law of averages alone suggests as much.
  • Can't win the Fa Cup every year lads, concentrate on the prem and CL
  • Fucking Spurs.... Are there replays in the 4th round?
  • How many will we get for this? 6 or 7 thousand?
  • C'mon guys, chin up, we've got to beat them at home at some point, and this would be a nice time to start.
  • 9000 tickets, who’s going
  • My god people on here are negative!!
  • so long as we get a good KO time 7.5k + blues be a cracking day bar the game
  • To all those drama queens whining and crying, ask yourself this; do you think Spurs fans would have been happy to draw us (home or away)?
  • We've never lost at that stadium in the FA cup
  • And utd will still be on itv, while us and spurs are shown on an Albanian shopping channel!
  • Get over yourselves FFS. Good time to play 'em and no chance of Son scoring his customary goal against us. Good away allocation. Bring 'em on.
  • Bound to be on TV. Let’s hope it’s not a stupid late ko time with no trains back.
  • 9000 fans there should make a difference (well, unless the game starts at 11pm on Monday or something equally fucking stupid)
  • 0-0 at spurs then beat them at ours 5-0
  • Bloody awful draw, we might get a goal at last at that stadium though.
  • More revenge for 1981. Let’s smash ‘em!
  • Get over yourselves FFS. Good time to play 'em and no chance of Son scoring his customary goal against us. Good away allocation. Bring 'em on.
  • Spot on we’ll be coming into this right off the hot weather training KDB all but match fit and best off all as you said we will get a massive following, only one set of fans should be pissed off with this draw and it’s not us
  • Get Sun Ji Hai back.
  • Couldn't give a fuck who the others have drawn, let's just deal with the Spuds and see what happens. Put the strongest team available out and end the "hoodoo" there. You have to beat whoever you get to win the Cup.
  • We're overdue a win against these shitbags. Peps had a good look at them now. That high line is begging for a proper rogering.
  • Looks likely that Son will not be back in time when we play them, that is a big plus point for us. Never forgiven them for beating us in the 81 cup final. Cmon City lets go there and smash them. Should be an exciting game. I predict we will score at their stadium and get a win or a draw.
  • Son will be back to score his customary brace and I expect Timo Werner will score too, so we need 4 goals to win.
  • Fuck that. 6000+ in the away end? We'll batter them.
  • The Scousers are laughing. Either Spurs or City out. Either Chelsea or Villa out. And the Rags through.
  • Last time we scored at White Hart Lane was Kevin De Bruyne in 2015 I think. That nearly 9 years ago, we lost 4-1 that day as well.
  • Tottenham away: what an absolute bastard of a draw. Well, we need to score a goal and indeed win there some time, so why not then. Come on City. Win.
  • Confident we will win
  • Obviously they've lost Kane. No Son. KDB and Doku with games under their belts, and we'll have Haaland back.
  • Is that fucking Son away in Asia Nations?
  • Got to beat them at their place at some point, at least we get two bites at the cherry this season. Failing that, just getting a goal there would be nice
  • That's a meh draw. Let's be honest, would have been nice to have another game where we could have played the kids after being 3-0 up.
  • We both play on the Wednesday so the game won’t be on Monday. 2.00 on the Sunday would be ideal for travelling but reckon it will be later given they don’t give a shit about travelling fans. According to BBC games will be played on the Saturday and Sunday so no Friday night option either.
  • I think it's a good draw. As it went on, was hoping we wouldn't get someone like Sheffield United. This way we'll get to see a football match.
  • Tough draw, but I expect us to finally win there. We are the better team by far. Play at our best level and we’ll win.
  • WHL stadium is long gone
  • It’s been knocked down and the pitch partially is on the same location as the old pitch. We still don’t have a good record in their postcode whichever way you look at it.
  • No doubt. South Korea's last group game is two days before the next FA Cup round and I'd say it's almost certain they're going to get through their group anyway, so he will still be away.
  • Bet he still scores the first goal somehow.
  • It’s been knocked down and the pitch partially is on the same location as the old pitch. We still don’t have a good record in their postcode whichever way you look at it.
  • Recent record isn't great. Before that we've hit then for 4s/5s and 6s.
  • Tough draw, especially away. at least it's during a period where we haven't got lots of games so we should be able to stick out a strong side, they're just getting players back and will probably have a few more by the end of the month. Always have to be decent sides if were going to win it, if we go out, I'd sooner it be in the 4th round than getting to thr semi finals and playing a weakened side against a top team because weve got champions league games sandwiched in and going out that way. Hopefully it's fairly priced (it's spurs, that's unlikely) and hopefully it's at a decent time for the travelling fans(we'll almost certainly be on TV, so again unlikely)
  • This is far more exciting than a home draw against a championship team. Really looking forward to it
  • Boring as fuck as a tie as it's just a normal team we play regulary, and for the same reason it shouldn't be on telly, no all prem games should be until it is unavoidable, but braodcasters ain't arsed about FA Cup and lower league clubs being on unless they think a giant killng is posssible.
  • 3:1 City.
  • They will be way more worried than us for sure. Stick the younguns in.We still win.
  • It`s the biggest tie of the round, and the biggest game always gets 4.30pm slot on the Sunday. TV dictates the date/time of the big games.
  • At least we have 2 cracks at scoring at their ground this season
  • Not withstanding they are our local rivals I don't understand why so many people are commenting on what United got, there not even in conversations around winning trophies. Do you think their fans were bothered about our draws in the 90's?
  • FFS...the only positive is that we should get a decent allocation oh and Son ain't playing! Oh well, i'd have settled for a PL/CL double this season anyway. COME ON CITY!!!

Revenge for 81
I'll never forgive them for 81

Such weird things to have a grudge about. Sorry we beat you, we should have let you win that day.

I kind of know what they mean though even if it doesn't make rationale sense.

I still resent Coventry for the '87 final.

I feel nothing about Blackburn for beating us in a final. Its just a weird emotion to have when a team beats you. I don't dislike Liverpool any more for the CL final either.

I resent teams like City for the way they manipulated ffp and allowed sport washing just to gain success. Same for Chelsea. I hate how Liverpool and Arsenal are such sore losers who rarely credit teams when they do well to beat them. I don't hate teams for winning a Cup final though. I've always looked at ourselves in those moments. We lost and I always wish we did better in those. There's no revenge for losing a game 30+ years ago. Only way that emotion makes sense is if they cheat to win like Maradona against England.

As a 50 year old man I agree with you. As a 13 years old boy with my 11 year old friend, both in tears watching us lose the Cup Final, I disagree with you...However, its not real resentment. It's just football :)

I agree generally though in real terms. I take issue with City, Chelsea and Newcastle far more than Man Utd, Liverpool and even Arsenal as they have skewed the sport (although the balance seems to be returning and Levy's moment of sustainable and sustained glory is almost upon us ✊)
