the gaffer has to trust them though. he chose to play 2 FBs as CBs instead of starting any of them.
I think it’s harsh to view Davies as a FB, he is pretty much a CB these days and an international one at that. You have a point on Emerson, but I’m hoping that changes as the young lads get more experience

Thats only his 9th game in men’s football - i think we need to give him time to develop before talking Spurs starter - i hope he impresses in this Plymouth side for the rest of the season then get a higher level loan next season

So right now we’ve got:

Romero - 25
VDV - 22
Dragusin - 21

Then coming through we have:

Phillips - 18
Dorrington - 18
Vuskovic - 16

in 3 years time we could have 6 legitimate starting centre backs. Position sorted for the next decade.

And Kelly would be the perfect replacement for Ben as he covers two positions.

Well we aren’t talking about him as a Spurs starter are we? We are talking about him and Dorrington competing 5th choice

Great start for the lad, hopefully he can continue to play well for the rest of the season and gain valuable experience ready for next year.

As someone who lives in Plymouth, I can confirm that fuck all happens to get too excited about, but the ‘Green Army’ loved him. Mate said ‘best debut he can remember!’

Great to see all the plaudits for him yesterday, that's got to be a good sign for the future.
Is there a reason this has been moved to the transfer rumours and not loan watch by the way?

He was great, especially in the first half. Two crucial tackles/blocks in the box stood out but he was solid with everything he did tbh. He got booked in the second half but it was a slightly late sliding tackle, nothing serious. Also, the Argyle Live commentator sounded like Robert Webb and was obsessed with all of the players' hair styles which made the whole match very entertaining.
