Villa fans saying their injury list is comparable to ours when none of their injured players would get in our best XI and some of them wouldn't even get on our bench.

I wonder how Liverpool fans would react if they had Van Dijk, Matip, Szoblaszai out now whilst Endo and Salah are also away on international duty. They can tell everyone else to just suck it up, but the moment they drop points (and they would) we'd be expected to feel sympathetic for them.

Villa fans blow my mind. Where has this arrogance and sense of entitlement come from? They had 2 chances to go clear at the top over Christmas and blew both of them. They're whining about 4 of our players being talked about in the team of the season, which one of theirs do they think should be in? I can't think of even one who has stood out (in terms of across the league).

Doesn’t work like that though does it. It’s how important they are to Villa that matters. We don’t miss Maddison because he’s capable of playing for top teams. We miss him because of how crucial he is to our team.

  • Sick of hearing about injuries as an excuse for these. The media only too happy to echo what their crying fans are peddling online. Having both Romero and VanDeVen out at the same time is the first time they've really been in any way unlucky. Aside from that, they've had Maddison and Bentancur out for a few weeks and then basically a bunch of squad fillers (Sessegnon, Salomon, a way-over-the-hill Perisic) who'd hardly be getting a game. Their "crisis" has been massively overplayed, and frequently suspended players (not bad fortune, just dirty play) have been thrown in as evidence of how unlucky they are.
And as others have said, they've played less games than basically every other team in the league, and significantly less than any team around them in the table. The amount of excusing them is ridiculous, when we're top with five or six genuine first team options out.
For context, Liverpool currently have Matip, Tsimikas, Robertson, Doak, Thiago, Bajcetic and Mac Allister out. Three starters. Bentancur's started two games this season, Maddison's nearly missed as many games as he's played, Van de Ven and Romero are both currently out. Bit worse than not having Ben fucking Doak.

I do agree with them on the suspended players being seen as unlucky really just being poor discipline though.

  • Ange 3 pts off the top with a ridicolous number of injuries and players who dont fit his system. Only six months, traditionally his weakest period. Its more about the league weakness than Sp**s being the real deal yet, but its a worry when he starts recruiting his own players which he is generally excellent at doing and the team have adapted to his ways.
  • SA_Gunner - They are still getting away with things, really lucky stuff from them against the lowest teams, and being soundly beaten by more organised teams. Lol you don’t seem to want to pay attention to you. You think one system of play without much variety, will continuously yield the results you want. After watching Arsenal, even City and Liverpool and how they have had to adapt to stay on top. Here’s the question you should continue to ask yourself. Will Ange be able to adapt his team further, once teams start to completely shut their game down? I’m already seeing his team get away with murder and not seeing the tactical adjustments between games or over the course of the season. Here’s my prediction for his full team being back this season. The very same risky football that will likely cost them a top 4 finish this season. There will be no more space to attack once teams are fighting to secure Europe, the league and survival. The PL is unforgivable, look at Klopp last season, Pep at times this season, Ten Hag and now Arteta as well.
  • He has had to conbat low blocks and less space in many of his jobs. You will say they are lower leagues, but on the other hand, he was using lower quality players compared to Sp**s. For one thing, if teams sit deep they are going to create far less than they currently can against Sp**s. Sp**s might actually start to control games more. Also with a better team, he can overcome low blocks. Many teams throughout history have done it, its not something new. I am not saying they are great this year but relatively confident they are going to improve next yr and yr after.
  • SA_Gunner - Let’s see how it plays out. I’m interested to monitor his progress.
  • United are going to thrash them to establish yet a new false dawn which will force him & his fellow bilge rats to run back to their warrens. "Yet to play them at home". If we had our frontline firing on all cylinders like last season they'd lose by double digits trying to play their idiotic highline against us.
  • How are they within 1 point of us? I keep dismissing them due to squad depth and supposed reliance on Maddison but looks like I was wrong. Let’s see how they get on without Son I suppose. Fair play to them though, I don’t think they even spent that much.

I'm sorry, Arsenal have adapted to stay where??

theyd ask for the games to be suspended until they had players back. For the integrity of the competition

Is there a way to make a poll here?

I propose let's not give the fucking "SA_Gunner" moron any more airtime on here or special attention which he doesn't deserve. So from now on whoever is kind enough to paste comments from any Le Arse forums onto here, just delete his name, don't make an effort to type it in/highlight it etc.

All in agreement?

You can spot his posts a mile off anyway, he's such a twat.

P.s. I was going to be more insightful and wordy with my insult but it's New Year's Day and "twat" is the best I had!

I love reading his clueless drivel and the way his adoring minions lap it up. It's comedy gold.

Villa fans know we'll overtake them sooner than later.
Seriously mate, they don’t even deserve a mention. Leicester fans were the same and look what happened to them. I prefer for us to go about our business without all the plaudits until we get a trophy in the cabinet.

May 2024 bring all and their loved ones good health and prosperity. ✌️

They would be demanding a Parliamentary debate, intervention from NATO and a 20 point addition to their EPL standing.
