took his goal well today and has looked bright so far, he needs to work on showing for the ball and making himself available to the man on the ball. was stood behind defenders unavailable for the pass far too often today and marred an otherwise good performance. hopefully something he can work on.

I think this is due to the tempo in the EPL. He still needs to catch up the defenders tempo. But he looks really good when he passes and shoots

I like what I’ve seen so far and the guy is stepping up. No shortage of skill, pace, an eye for goal and a great work ethic.

Agree but he doesn’t appear to be as pacey as I expected. He does have good pace but isn’t for me exceptionally fast.

I think he has made a good impact. However he really lacks any outstanding attributes to really take us to the next level. Some players you see have raw talent or great pace. He looks very steady and does the simple things well which can’t be said for others in our attack. He is a decent finisher however and hopefully can’t build on that.

Edit! got a disagree already. It’s not that I don’t see anything spectacular, I’m a layman when it comes to scouting opinions. But for the more educated can people help inform me on what he can develop into.
I think you do have some validity in your assessment. Not as quick as was originally made out. He has decent pace but plays with his head up and has more awareness than most of our attacking line up.

Don’t get me wrong guys I think he’s our best attacker right now And I like the bloke I just feel like he’ll never reach the levels that someone like Mane had early at Liverpool.

Mane had already established himself at Southampton under Koeman. Give Bergwijn another season and it'll likely be a different story.

Scored again, also involved in the build up of the second goal. But faded out in the second half. I am wondering whether he was injured after scoring the goal
The pace of this league is way different to what he has been used to. His made a brilliant start and will get better.

To be fair, he's started every game since he signed. He's probably a bit knackered.

I just think that's his speed, whether you're tired or not or have played many consecutive games you're gonna be able to gauge someone's pace in earlier stages of matches especially.

He is not a rapid player IMO, but quick enough to play on the counter with. I don't think we'll see the very best of him until we start flowing as a team but he's adjusted very well to a new league, looks like he's played with us for much longer than he actually has.

I’m looking forward to what he can bring. Still looks like he’s finding his feet in what is a pretty shocking time.

According to transfermarkt, he has played more minutes than any other players in our team except Toby this season (2823, Toby is 3048) . This is a reason why he is tired (especially need to up his speed to EPL)

Impressive considering he only joined us in Jan...

I assume that this includes his time at PSV.
