You’re deluded if you think the Chelsea players gives a toss about whether they play Spurs or Arsenal. Perhaps the atmosphere is a bit better against us, but that’s marginal.
This Chelsea team is abysmal, and all you have to do is come out aggressively against them and you’ll get your chances...
Thanks, this clarifies it somewhat. Kane’s goal should clearly be disallowed according to these criteria.
I don’t really see the point of the rule though. Are they under the impression that playing the ball backwards so that it bounces off a defender and forward to your offside team mate is...
I would agree if the biggest problem with offsides without VAR is that they’re missed. I’ve rarely been super upset with a goal that was allowed even though it was a few cm offside.
What’s worse though is you’d have the inevitable goals which are incorrectly disallowed due to a non-existing...
Yup. Haven’t really celebrated a goal in years. A goal is rather a slow and steady rising of the mood that only really settles a few minutes after the opposing team kick-off.
Maybe I’m stupid, but I still see a massive grey area there. Do you have to make an attempt to play the ball with your feet or head? No sane defender in this defenders situation would not make an attempt to play the ball out to a corner in that situation.

Said it before and I’ll say it again. Red cards need to change. Any game where a player gets a red before the 65th minute is dead. It’s not reasonable that a game (and by extension the future of a football club/national team) can be decided by the whims of one player. Add to that, it’s usually...
