Feel like we should probably have had a much earlier deadline for getting someone in. 8 days into the window now.
I bet we’ve tried but agents muck us around, clubs muck us around, we penny pinch, other clubs become interested etc etc, even if you ‘line-up’ a transfer there are still so many moving parts these days.

If Dragusin is one of our top targets and we’ve identified him as gettable then I’d have hoped this had got done by end of last week, start of this, it’s starting to drag now and whether we end up with him or someone else it needs to be done asap.

Good we aren’t leaving it until the last day to make moves but we seem to be struggling to get this one over the line.

Yeah i thought this would of been done by today at the latest.

We desperatetly need a CB in for a massive game on Sunday.

I mean we really are desperate, not done by tomorrow and its far from ideal preparation for integrating him into the squad in time for Sunday
Yep everyone getting tetchy now.

Hope it’s done tomorrow.

Itll get done.

We've been here before with these last little details.

The only problem for me is the United game but then again it won't define our season. I Just want to beat a crap United team.

If Romero and Davies were fit and playing well would we rush him back. Not for me. It shouldn't change because of Levy's failure to bring in a CB.

But being rushed back isn't having a week or two of full training on top of all the other work he has done, been on the bench for our last game also.

Being rushed back would have been getting back in full training and straight back into the side.

Yes if we had players fit then yes, he might not of started, but 90% if not more on here would still say start him ahead of either of those.

Training doesn't come close to competitive match intensity. He's played no matches mate and he had a very serious hamstring injury. Look at Bentancur and he's still not fully fit. Aggravating that injury for a player that relies on pace so much could mean he is never the same player again.

And Bentencure went straight back into the team, with even less training.

It's a risk, but putting him in now or 5 weeks time with no game time is the same risk. We could put him on for the last 10 minutes of a game and it goes.

But going by the last few itk posts, hopefully this is done soon and we can have him and VDV or royal at CB anyway.

Yup me too, it’s starting to feel like a very familiar story.
Familiar like the very many other stories where it doesn't get done when the fans want it done, but instead gets done on a realistic timeline that suits all actually involved parties?

If so, I agree.

It might not be the end of the season but it could be the end of VdVs season to throw him straight in complete caution to the wind because the only alternative is Hojbjerg. Ridiculously naive to think he can come straight back into a game of that intensity. It took Bentancur 2-3 sub appearances followed by 1-2 60-70 minute matches to get up to speed.
VdV started after about 2 training sessions in the first match. I think he will be fine.
