It’s been said a few times now, but he’s easily the best RB we’ve had since Walker.
People found Walker very frustrating at times for us

it was more when he was gone and the terrible attempts to replace him that we realised how good he was

Porro is a technically far better player but doesn’t quite have the raw pace

on another note good to see Trippier regressed to his 2019 form for us yesterday

I loved his celebration with Ange after the third goal. So passionate and he celebrates winning tackles.

Loved the way he made a beeline for Ange after his assist. Looked to me like that type of ball was something Ange had told him to try, and it came off. Brilliant performance yesterday and was my MOM in a whole team who put in excellent performances. I don't think many teams could have lived with us playing like that.

I'm sure he did a similar pass for a goal at Burnley earlier in the season as well.

Said it before but I love him. Love his passion. Commitment. Energy. He can play a bit too.

Proper mentality for football at this level. The sort of personality that makes me wonder why every footballer isn't like that!

If he can improve his tracking of runners at the back stick then he'll be an absolute world beater.

And he's overcome a bit of a rocky start and is really kicking on now. That takes character.

At the start of the season I felt that Porro would likely be replaced next summer and retained as our second choice in that role. However as the season has gone on he's proven time and again that he's good enough to hold that spot down as the #1.

Happy to be wrong, although we will need someone to come in to rotate with him because our fullbacks both need cover.

He has always been a good footballer, but the improvement to his defensive game has been great. He is and all round RB who has beautiful cross on him and good attacking instinct.

The most impressive thing is his passing. I’ve said before he reminds me of TAA as an attacker (but with better defence). The most critical thing is his ability to play though the press - that’s what we lacked last season, and it sets to so many of our attacking moves. It’s often just a simple 10-15 yard pass but you need the vision and confidence to play it

Ange had the biggest smile I think I've seen from him so far. He was absolutely delighted with that bit of play from Porro.

He's the sort of player who drives teams to win games and trophies, elite technique, elite mentality and energy.

Fantastic signing and so glad how well he's adapted to this new role.

Most improved player in the squad. I had my doubts about him mainly because he looked so poor defensively even though I could see that his technical ability was very good. He has improved in every aspect and has been a revelation. I honestly wouldn't swap him for any right back in the world right now.

Only 24 years old as well. Between him and Udogie we are covered at full back for years to come 🤞

That goal was so nice. The pass, the touch and the finish all exquisite.

Love his energy and vibe. Love this team.
