Problem is, smaller teams didn’t see Leicester as a scalp, and larger teams didn’t see them as a long term threat. That’s not the case with us.
This is bang on. Bottom half teams all played Leicester like it was a must win, especially at home; and left themselves open to the counter. It drove me mad - if teams had defended Leicester with a low block that year there is no way they get close to 81 points

Mate no offence but this is bollocks. They were out of both cups early and weren’t in Europe, so nobody played more than 42 games (Albrighton). Spurs had 7 players with more appearances than that that year, with good old Eric Dier leading the way on 51.
The good news is that this is us this year - even if we reached the FA Cup final that’s 45 games without replays. It’s a huge advantage that hopefully we can press home

You read a post I made and took it seriously :D

I don't even read the posts I make, I'd pack that in, it's not good for your health or mine - I'm putting you first, dude.

Wait somebody read one of your posts?

I always get bored and give up after the first line.

Don’t they know you post nonsense 99% of the time… you should probably warn people

Just to be clear, I don't think that Leicester's team were all juiced up to the eyeballs, just feel I need to make that clear now that I've been made aware that people read these strings of shapes I keep putting up...

You can also add;

“wait till they play a decent team and get battered…”

*beat United*

“yeah, but wait till they play a decent team and get battered..”

*draw with Arsenal*

“well… yeah, but wait till they play a decent team and get battered..”

*beat Liverpool*

“erm… no, but we really need to wait till they play a decent team.”
What’s so great about this is it’s the 3 the most gobby fanbases.
We’ve played their teams and shown that we can more than match them. Now their only hope is that city “put us in our place”
It’s hysterical

Not even a full day into the international break and I'm already talking to myself... think I might have OD'd on salty tears and this is my comedown.

Come on Jgplk1 I need a hit, just a small one. I promise I'll give up tomorrow...

  • Credit where its due, Tottenham have made a Fantastic start to the season. Ange has come in, and done well so far. He has been a fresh set of eyes on the Club, having not had worked with Harry Kane in the team, he has had a clean slate (in effect) on how the team operates.
Appears to be no Harry Kane hangover so far, the players have stepped up.
I do like there Stadium, that one tiered stand behind the goal looks impressive. Having American football at the Stadium, (using a different pitch) is an impressive idea.
Not much to laugh about regards Tottenham at the moment.
  • Both ourselves and Liverpool should have thrashed them to be honest.
But when you look closely at them, you can see that they are incomplete and relying more on luck to get by for now. And that is ok since they are just restarting.
Good enough to challenge for top 4 if they stay fit, but not complete enough for a title challenge.
  • Well , I’m odd ! Very odd !!
    I can’t hate Tottenham.
Yes I’m through and through an Arsenal supporter and finishing above The Spuds and beating them is always a pleasure but my boy hood hero was Jimmy Greaves and the gentlest of all humans is Big Pat Jennings , without doubt my favourite of all players .
Pat was the most natural of keepers and as for Jimmy G , one of the , if not the greatest goal scorers ever to play the game . YouTube is your friend should you have any doubts .
Saint and Greavsie was the most iconi of all football programmes.
Big Pat , YouTube will tell you all you need to know .
Two incredible players , two of the games most iconic players .

  • I believe they are getting so much praise because many felt they would look as bad Chelski after Kane left.
  • Some of their player comparisons to ours are comical. How many times is 'Cuti' Romero going to be at fault for giving away a golden chance. He has at least two bozo moments per match and they compare this guy to Saliba. They compare Kulusevski to Saka, Maddison to Ødegaard, Bissouma to Rice. They also need to stop talking about Haavertz when they have Richarlison who is dogshit into his second season. 2 league goals in 35 matches. Its a crime against humanity this waffler is preferred to Jesus and Martinelli in the Brazil national team. Now wonder Tite got the sack.
They also have zero squad depth and the notion that not playing in Europe is a good thing is so false. Those European nights are how players get XP points, how they level up. You want your players to add pedigree to their game and they cant do that eating a Thai takeaway on Wednesday or Thursday nights.
This is why I want us to take the League Cup seriously. Winning begets winning and standards should be upheld at all times. If you think going out of a competition is a 'blessing in disguise' then you will not reach higher heights. I was alarmed last year when so many of our fans low key celebrated the EL exit to Sporting. Thats not how you build winners.
We saw that soft underbelly yesterday with Sp**s. Thats a team that isnt battle hardened.
  • And yet they sit top of the table having already played 3 of the toughest fixtures.
As long as their results match/exceed ours, they’ll compare and big up their players. We would do the same. Normal fan stuff.
This is unfortunately not the right time to mock them
  • Also on current form Maddison > Ødegaard
  • I've lost count the amount of times Sp**s have started better than Arsenal as a whole only for the 2nd half of the season to tell a different story.
  • They look good, and are in title form right now. This is their best start since 61 I believe.
It remains to be seen if it can be kept up though, as we’ve been saying here. I don’t think they are title challengers in the long run
  • They have also faced 3 of the newly promoted sides , a faltering utd side and an absolutely robbery vs Liverpool.
They've done well but we all know its going to end badly for them, can't rely on luck throughout the whole season.
  • they do look good this season, I like Ange
  • 4/6 of Spurs’ wins this season (current bottom 4)

There were some very level and sensible posts there...then there was this!

How does someone make a statement like that and think they can be taken seriously?! 😂

Ah yes that soft underbelly that saw us score and win after going down to ten men to Luton, come back twice at the Emirates and kept going v Sheffield United and Liverpool, also ending the United at the new ground curse..

Soft underbelly my fucking arse. Fucking mugs.

You can tell that Arsenal in particular are a bit rattled by us by the way they are having to constantly find new ways to undermine our start so far.

Exactly the same thing was said about Arsenal last season. But they just kept on going and going.

Until City did put them in their place.

I really don't get this? At no point in either game were Pool or the Gooners so dominant that they should have "thrashed" us? I also think the gooners have had as much luck as us!

Especially considering they relied on an own goal and a VAR pen to get them a point at home against us.

What the hell is this actually about? You can complain about the officiating in the Liverpool game (mostly wrongly with the one big exception) but how you get from there to they should have thrashed us is anyone’s guess. Ditto for arsenal - find me a single neutral who thought arsenal should have thrashed us. It’s just fantasy land

Mostly drivel as one would expect, them mentioning luck is hilarious.

They got off to a good start last season because half of their goals were deflections.

They've played/won against 2 of the bottom 5, 5 of the bottom 9 plus us, utd and city.

No, 20+ years ago, Tottenham was just as bed, if not worse. The place is a shit hole.

My dad was born and raised in Tottenham and left in 66. I've been going to Tottenham for 40 years, and it is, and in those 40 years, never been a nice place.

Anyone who says otherwise is either a, stupid, b, American and has been to New York...or Detroit...or Los Angeles... c, argumentative for the sake of it, d, think they are somehow protecting the club.

@chas vs dave say it how it is son. Shithole
Don’t be hating on Sams chicken man!
