Kane is so big and so Tottenham. But let’s not forget that bar 2-3 players in the last 30 years very few players now remain at one club. Beckham, Messi and others all left bigger clubs having been a “one of our own” player. It hurts, it’s shit, but THFC in time will move on, hopefully with new owners in the near future.

Good luck to Harry.

But make no mistake, this move absolutely symbolises and exposes ENIC and Levy's failure to really demonstrate ambition as a football Club.

They can hide behind whatever they want, but not doing more, much more, to utilise this once in a generation striker (one of our own) is an absolute sin.

Shame on you Levy, this is why we're here.

Everyone knows we've no ambition to win, only to deal.

To dare is to deal.
He’s made the right decision this time but only in trying to limit the damage from his own mess. The last 4/5 seasons of Kane’s contract is where the criticism of Levy should lie.

Personally I don't think Levy has done wrong by selling Harry this window as he was going next year anyway and so he is duty bound to ensure best financial outcome. Does that mean he's blameless? No because we are in this situation because of the shit show of the last four years over which he presided.

At least we don’t have any world class players to sell after this so we can all relax for a few seasons.

Kane knew he was going at the end of the Shaktar game, looked pretty obvious to me.

Will there be new signings or has the money already been spent, according to Transfermrkt figures this has already been a record spending window for Spurs.

We should probably keep this thread active for all the rumours and stories of his potential return in 18 month-24 months!

Yes of course, but the very fact we've come to this point of having to sell him is Levy's fault.

He's doing the right thing now but it should never of come to this had we been behaving like a proper big Club.

Actions always speak louder than words.

Honestly shedding a tear this morning. Fucking gutted through all the hope. Shit stacked on top of shit.

As miserable as Spurs have made things over the last few years, and with all the things personally I’ve had to deal with, Harry’s goals and performances was always something to look forward to.

Just numb right now. See you again someday H. COYS.

He's gone and it's time to move on, but it has to be said fuck Levy and fuck this current Spurs board. I have Zero faith they'll spend this money well, if at all. On top of that we are only looking at mid range players and opportunistic signings being offered by clubs and agents to come in. but even then we need outs first.

I've said it over and over again but it doesn't matter who the manager is as long as the current board and Chairman are in situe.
The club motto under Levy is and always has been
"Balance sheet over team sheet."

Enic out!

I hope Lukaku is not in that list. 🙏

So Mbappe isn’t replacing him then?

It's not Kane's fault. If he wants to leave that's absolutely fine. He gave us plenty and wants to try something knew. The blame for this ever getting to the point where Levy felt he had to sell Kane is the problem. A string of poor player recruitment since the CL loss and three straight flailing managers has to be levelled at the ownership. If we'd made smarter, better choices maybe we win something and maybe Kane doesn't feel the need to join Bayern over Spurs. Oh well.

I like our new signings so far and the way we are going with Ange. They may not replace Kane but who does?

That’s not true

there was plenty of commentary about potentially signing a deal if meaningful progress under Ange was made

small % chance but well above the zero you imply
Ange hasn't even started yet... almost... and we have made som very good and meaningful signings so far IMO... so for Kane to give Ange a chance he would have to stay and get to know him and his style better... at least for a season.. maybe half a season.... but not signing a new contract or some sort of short term deal, has made it very difficult for the club not to deal with Bayern... we have pushed them to the max and at the same time given Harry several options...

What can we do... ? what's happened in the past is too late to change... everyone including Kane would have to forget that in order to make this a positive situation for a new contract with us.... the small chance we have left is entirely up to Kane and his camp/family now. Sadly.

At least it's not the 31st of August... although it's been a long summer-saga 🤷‍♂️

I feel the club, Ange, the squad, the fans.... if we look at this summer only... have done everything to impress Kane... with a lot of love and respect on top.

And Bayern, the majority of the media, the pundits... Charlie Kane... have done everything they can to get Kane to leave us... and not with respect !!!! ... it appears they won 🙁

What happens now... we don't know.. and that's typical Spurs... and maybe that uncertainty is was has pushed Kane out... 🤷‍♂️
