Who do you suggest?Moving on from Kane (I’m good at that according to Mr ex’s).
The talk of buying 3 players with the money, is why we never move up.
I know we need another cb and probably a few more, but a big club doesn’t sell a world class player and then replace them with 3 potentially good players, they would take that 100m and buy the very best replacement they could. 3 good players is not equal to 1 world class player.
You make some great points about building Top 4 teams after the exit of a top player but this feels different to me. Not just because of Kane but because we have little to no hope of competing with the so called financially doped teams.Levy doesn't actively want us to fail and under him we've built teams that have finished top 4.
I think he took us as far as we could go and we'd be better off with someone who both doesn't abuse human rights and is also willing to aggressively spend, don't get me wrong. But we sold Berbatov and Keane and built a top 4 team. We sold Bale and Modric and built a top 4 team. Levy wants CL to keep up that "brochure image" and he's clearly not incapable of making that happen.
With that said I'm sick to death of chasing top 4, as I feel it's all we've done for nearly 20 years. I don't give a shit about getting in the CL again if it's going to be what it was last season or like a QF exit. Past caring about it.
Genuinely asking, did anybody actually believe that at the time?We shall spend the period ahead of next season working relentlessly to position our Club for on-pitch success and football you will love to come and watch. Every element of the Club’s operations is geared toward delivering that.

Thanks Dan great job so far!
And what’s worse is that we had itk that he is leaning towards staying and levy had to twist his arm and give him an ultimatum and force him to sign a deal, rather than have at least 6 more months of KaneYup. Minimal, half-hearted investment from a position of strength and complacency that Poch could work miracles on a shoestring until the end of time...that's the root cause of this.
Then since Poch left it's been trying to mask the limited nature of the squad with blockbuster managers without acknowledging the real heart of the problem - lack of investment and a blinkered vision.
Levy did well to pin down Kane to a 6 year deal but the chaotic 4 years after that (and the lack of signings preceding it) are the real reason we're in this mess.
We're heading in a much better direction now but we pissed away what was a fantastic position 5-6 years ago.
I didGenuinely asking, did anybody actually believe that at the time?
I mean anybody over the age of 7
Totally agree! Remember this…?The thing Levy doesn’t understand is that it’s no good building a team to get top 4 because our rivals are building teams to win the league. Top 4 is their fall back position. Because we aim too low we are destined to fail more times than we succeed m.
We signed Lineker then sold WaddleLike we sold Waddle when we signed Gazza.
Bet it fizzes out very quickly. When does Project Kane start?
Wouldn't bet on it mate.So Funtime Friday, yes?
That's my fear think we are all going to end up very disappointed when Levy does.Haha, indeed, he should have squared it to Sterling! On a serious note, I'm relieved this is finally coming to an end. It's a rather emotional moment though .
The goblin better not sit on the cash he’s got the match under his feet now
Cheating, diving **** I never liked him anyway. And that fucking lisp. Good riddens.
