That’s just not fair. I’m critical of the guy, but if the right offer has come in, you can’t blame him.

What will be of more interest is what comes next.

Spend well, and we’ll end up stronger and better. Spend badly, as we tend to, and we’ll be in a very tricky place

Onwards and upwards, I remain positive about what H has brought to the team over the past few years and support the guys wearing our beautiful shirt moving forward. Always remember we are Spurs fans so get behind and support the team.

Last thing we want is this to turn into a circus filled with hate and start Anges reign with anger from the stands and bitter protests.

Very well said. Couldn’t agree more

wonder if we will get a chance to see him off at tomorrow's game?
Doubt it from a playing perspective. Neither team will want to risk an injury, plus our pre season has been an absolute shambles so far fixture wise and the team of players that wants to be here need minutes.

Doubt it, personally. I don't think Ange would want the distraction in what is a fairly crucial pre-season game considering all of the disruption we've experienced so far.

I'm hoping we get an announcement today that he's leaving, it might create a bit of a sombre atmosphere tomorrow, but at least it gives the fans a bit of clarity and then it's up to the players to try and instill a bit of optimism.

That would never happen. Our fan base is incredibly supportive and even if we’ve only got 2 points from 8 games they’ll be right behind the lads backing them all the way

Not a boo to be heard this season

I just hope the leash given to Ange for this first season was just expanded exponentially. He deserves all the patience in the world from Levy and the fanbase.

I dont mean from a playing perspective, but from an appearance on the pitch at half time etc...

Feel strangely cold about the whole thing. Mentally I think I've already moved on from him being a Spurs player. Good luck to him and everything, but I hope we don't do any gushing montage, or any last 'lap of honour' at the weekend. Can't speak for anyone else but if I were there I'd be a bit 'why is he here? this feels weird'

Will probably feel different when he retires, but for now just go and get your shiny metal and leave us to move on.
I remember when Bale left I was so depressed for a while but I’m like you re Kane. I think for me it has felt inevitable for a while, looking at how the club has just deteriorated on the pitch I think Kane leaving has been inevitable for a while now. It is obviously very sad but I’m more angry, if anything, about how poorly this club has been run for years now. The fact is I can completely understand why one of our greatest ever players wants to leave.

At this point I just really hope we invest the money well on quality and the whole thing gets finalised as swiftly as possible. I’m also concerned about Richarlison, whilst he certainly seems to fit the system I’ve always had my doubt about his ability, i really hope he can step up as there are big boots to fill.

We usually started the season pretty badly with Kane. Can't see it making a huge difference.
Fair point. Hoping the new manager bounce will have an effect. At least hopefully the style of play will lift the atmosphere despite losing our best player with the season just starting.

I think we all knew deep down this was going to happen, it's a shame but that's football. I remember the day Chrissy Waddle signed for Marseiile, I was gutted, it felt the like the world had ended. Same when Gazza went, and Modric and Bale.

Just got to count ourselves lucky we had him in his prime.

I'm looking forward to the season with relish, I'm not expecting much, just joy at watching spurs play football again and not switching off after 5 minutes....

9 years is an insane amount of time to stay in one teams 1st 11. I’m never really bothered about someone leaving just worried about who replaces them.

Yeah Levy will back him all the way. Unwavering support, even when half the first team come knocking on his door demanding change crying that Ange is working them to hard or they can’t understand his accent

Bayern in for… 😅🥹😭

Interesting in some regards that we were supposedly close to getting Tuchel as manager, he is then “poached” by Bayern. Tuchel then taps up Kane.

Probably all just coincidence, but Bayern have certainly been a niggling thorn in our plans recently.

From what i'm hearing, we haven't, or at least they got close enough, but nothing concrete.

It'll be interesting what they admit to though. I always thought 'undisclosed fee' might be the face saver on one side or the other :D

Ha without a doubt.

“Ve can confurm zat Hari Kane as joined ze Bayern Munchen for Undisclosed Amount, but ve of corss vere better at negotiations than ze stubborn English club.”

Losing Lloris and Kane in the same window will both be hugely detrimental to the leadership but also gives us a chance of a fresh start. We simply have to give Ange time.
