Poor for the first goal, rest is a bit of an overreaction really.
I think it was Reggie who was poor on the first goal, Vicario gave away the corner for the 2nd after an unhelpful pass back from Porro. Then Tanganga just went to sleep and let the West Ham guy have a free header. Just poor defensively all round, and Tanganga doesn’t look comfortable on the left with the ball at his feet. VdV would fit there so much better. Been disappointed in Porro, Tanganga, and Reggie. Apart from the early chance, Skipp has also been non existent.

Has vicario been as bad as Twitter making out? And has it been bad in general?

We dominate, possession and passing % is very high. We're exposed on counters and shocking at set pieces with our short full backs. West Ham taking all their chances, we've not. It looks promising, but also very obvious that we need strengthening in the back line.

Despite the score line I actively enjoyed the way we played. Some really bright, inventive attacking play and aggressive pressing to win the ball back. Biss looks like a different animal under Ange!!

Also look at it, we’d have to score at least 3 each game to guarantee a draw.

Comical that we still haven’t got anyone new in at CB.
Two early goals against a fitter team in the first preseason training game? You, sir, know your football. Nobody here expected to see Tanganga starting either - perhaps Postecoglou wants a look at him?

Keeper had no chance for their 2 goals. He did make some good saves that half though, and no errors. Early days so will see

Think he only made one save?

His passing has been a bit dodgy also, a few into players with west ham players around or just not to the player.

Still early days and first game, so needs time to settle and then also get used to defenders we bring in. As these won't be our first choice back line... I hope

Going by updates in here it sounds like we've been well on top. Is that correct?

Genuinely think we have, have really controlled proceedings. And it hasn't been possession for the sake of possession, we've gotten into some great positions and really should have scored a couple. There's been quick passing, neat little interchanges in the middle and on the wings where overlapping runs from the fullbacks have been used. We also barely passed it back to the keeper, maybe once or twice, at least from what I can remember. Also no slow and repeated side to side passing.

Really encouraging for what is only the start of this transition. Sort the defence and that final midfield position and things will look really good.

Kulusevski also looked like the old Kulusevski and not the one that struggled and looked short of confidence post-injury.

There's no chemistry in the backline. Vicario doesnt have the confidence to pass, back 4 doesnt have the ability to play under pressure. Its a mix of both.

Hopefully after that good save Vicario made, hopefully, he gets some confidence to pass around.

I actually think we're already playing a more attractive style of football than under Poch. Whether it'll be as successful remains to be seen (maybe too risqué), but it's pure champagne aesthetically

At the moment there's really none of our defenders that I feel comfortable seeing in the starting line-up. Can we buy a whole new first choice back line?

23 touches in the box and West Ham have had 3.. actually pretty decent on the whole. Improved as the half went on

Nice one cheers mate, this is pretty much exactly how I thought this game was going.

Also West Ham have played a few pre-season games whereas this is our first one and under a new manager so scoreline a bit irrelevant at this stage more about adapting to a new style of play and Ange seeing which players are up to it or not.

Apparently some have no patience beyond 1 half of the match. I thought he look damn compose. Ange will back his goalkeepers up no matter their errors as long as they play to his way.
