To be fair, his reaction in that picture is pretty apt for someone so bad being awarded a new 3 year contract with no doubt a pay rise. Just praying its to protect whatever value he has but gut instinct is we'll be seeing Lurch and his usual cock ups next season with Levy no doubt telling Slot, Ange, Alonso, De Zerbi or whoever they have a potential Baresi on their hands.

He's had some great times at the club.
However, he is clearly one of those players that we keep for too long, gets, too comfortable and is no longer at the required level.
But we shouldn't be hating on our own, however frustrated we may be.

It’s like Levy is just doing every single thing possible to wind up the fan base. Other than to safeguard a fee there is no way he deserves a contract. Even by safeguarding the fee, no way he agrees to a move with a hefty new contract in his locker. This club is soul destroying

I think people are being harsh on Dier. He’s had a poor season but he’s not a bad player. Although I am surprised that he doesn’t want a change of scenery as it might be good for his career.
our defensive problems are less to do with the quality of our CBs, though I admit they aren’t perfect, and more to do with our decision to play Perisic and Porro at wing back. Both struggle defensively and out a lot of strain on our CBs. Also our CM of Hojbjerg and Skipp can’t keep possession or dig us out from a deep press so our defenders are constantly under pressure.
Dier has been poor this season but his job has been very difficult. I’m sure he’d do better with a new manager and some personnel changes at wing back and central midfield.
