Think he’ll come good. Way too early to make a definitive judgement on him, especially given the chaos we’ve been in.

That may be, but in most of cases weak start at Spurs means weak career at Spurs. Sure there are exceptions, but generally so.

But ‘finishing’ isn’t the principal reason why we signed him.

In an attacking wingback system you need the wingbacks to chip in with a few goals. We know he has that. The more progressive and front foot we are the less he will need to defend which is why an attacking coach is essential

Lets be honest, we is our Trent.. he cant defend and dont think that he would improve his defending from that low a base that it would be anywhere near good for this league (but that is like asking Son to defend).

But I do think he is an attacking winger... he has a decent finish, good cross and a lot of pace. Very dangerous as an attacking player

He’s a winger in this league. Can’t play any deeper.

In an attacking possession based team he can be great in a wing back position. If we invite pressure and he us in a back 5 he is useless but think we all know that now if we didn't know that before he joined

He’s a decent player, not great defensively, but then when you are constantly surrounded. Y I confident players or a Romero who busted his season at the World Cup, always difficult.

going forward, some serious pace though.

would 100% want to keep though, I kinda remember Walker being a tad ropey defensively early on too, kinda reminds me of him with his pace

But it's happening fairly frequently now between him and romero not working out who to mark on the overlap

His our very own Trent Alexander great going forward poor defensively.
I like Romero when he tries but i do wonder how Porro would fair with a more organised commanding Right CB beside him.

Exactly. Answer is much better. Romero should be central

Poch could have worked with him...

Lets hope whomever our next manager is, can coach the team in how to defend from the front, and how the CMs and CBs will have to help cover the wide players.

Defending is more of a team concept than an individual remit - and if we can get the players in the right positions, Porro can be effective.
