Good luck Stevie - good player but just didn't really make an impact here. He will tear it up in Holland.

Good luck to the guy. There's a good player in there, and I'm sure he'll have a good career and tear up the Dutch league

Good luck to him.

Man City debut and Leicester miracle aren't enough to keep a player - but will mean he is always remembered fondly.

He seemed like a good bloke and there is obviously talent there - I hope he smashes it at Ajax and with NL and then gets a move to another top league when his confidence is high again.

Good luck Stevie, was lucky to be there to see your last goal in our colours

Talk about turning points- he and perhaps Jose too was the width of an Anfield post away from something that might have turned out very differently

Stayed professional throughout and seems a great guy. Shame it never worked but think Ajax is perfect for him. All the best lad.

Seems like a top bloke, so I wish him the best and thanks for the memories.

He never really got to settle with the shit show of Jose and Nuno.

A very good player that just didn't work out for us the way we wanted. Wish him all the best at Ajax, he'll definitely smash it there!

He's a good player and it never really worked out for him.

Ajax have paid a decent fee. The regularly sell big but never spend huge so if no other club came in then this was about as good a fee as we were going to get.

quite miffed about this tbh.. would love to know what exactly happened as there's definitely a player there. not sure why Conte seemed so reluctant to play him.

regardless, it's a great move for Stevie so quite pleased for him. he'll absolutely tear the Eredivisie up

I’d bet he gets less than 15 league goals.

Why? If you look at his numbers at PSV he was on an upward trajectory of scoring goals when we signed him. The Dutch league is obviously easier than the prem. And with Ajax being the dominant team there is no reason why he can't score more than 15 league goals. With Haller moving on I suspect he might be played through the middle a fair bit as well, which will only increase his chances of hitting the net.

He'll do very well for Ajax.

Good player who probably came to us at the wrong time.
