I know it means little, but Arsenal Twitter are fairly certain Raphinha is off to the Emirates.

They are absolute morons so he must be on his way to Spurs.

But seriously, I listened to Charlie Eccleshare earlier and he said Richarlison is a priority over Raphinha.

Mate they're always super confident. A reporter from goal br did say on a twitter reply that Raph is more interested in being trained by Tets, than playing CL for Spurs.

If you're gonna lie at least make it plausible. If he said Raph thinks he's got more chance of 1st team opportunities at Arsenal, then fair enough, but that tripe sounds like obvious bollocks.

Lastly If the reporter really believed it why not write a story, or release a proper tweet. He knows it's shit.

If they buy Raphinha as well, then writings on the wall for Saka. Otherwise, why would you strenghten RW where they have Pepe & Saka already.
Anyway, dont really care what they do.

Deco is in Barca today to hold talks on Raphinha to see where things are. We will see a movement for him one way or other by next week

If it's as simple as us vs. Arsenal for Raphinha and he goes there, I have to say that would absolutely suck. I do think 65m is a bit over the odds but with Bissouma (and potentially Spence) being cheaper than I thought, and player sales, it's not a devastating sum.

I get what people are saying about Richarlison being more versatile but I genuinely think Raphinha is a bit better, and elevates the squad more than Richarlison would. To me this should be our number 1 realistic priority.

Great post.

This.

Richarlison would annoy teams, Raphinha would genuinely scare teams.

Not true. The sort of investments you can do with an extra 50 mil go up a whole other level.

And I call BS to anyone on here who isn’t extracting every possible penny they can make from a potential employer.
Yeah, from a greedy point of view. But 50 million is more than my ancestors and I could ever spend. How would those other 50 million and their dividends improve my quality of life, when I'd already have more than I needed?

Of course I want to get paid as much as possible for the job I have, that's not what I said. I even said I'd easily switch jobs if someone offered to double my pay. But I just have a regular salary. If I made millions, that'd be different

Yeah I'm starting to think that as well.

I'd still be happy with either, and Rich's versatility is a huge plus and he's a work horse, but Raph's superior quality definitely feels the more exciting signing.

Surely to God if we match personal terms he picks us over Arsenal...surely

Arsenal pays mega wages and has a solid Brazilian contingent.

You'd think UCL, Conte, Kane & Son, etc... would swing it our way, but you never no.
