Not sure if you are serious or not but we've played 5 league games, 2 of them being against the best 2 teams in the league.

Our fan base is embarrassing at times with situations like this.
Why are you saying the fans are embarrassing? Can you not see the reality here? We’ve hired a guy no one wanted and who wasn’t on our list and our performances and the stats are reflecting that. Thomas Frank at Brentford has had his side play 5 games in the PL with a budget about 100th of ours and they look like Barcelona compared to us.

This isn’t some mad overreaction it’s the reality and what is embarrassing are the fans who cannot see and/or won’t accept the reality of the situation we are in here.

Nuno was never a good idea, the squad hasn’t been strengthened enough especially in attacking areas and our star striker wants to leave and is stinking the place out, this is all as always on Levy but don’t patronise our own fans and call them embarrassing, the pundits are all absolutely slamming us and rightly so and to go from Jose to Nuno after promising attacking free flowing football sums up everything that is wrong at the top.

What is embarrassing is Levy’s plan and decision making regarding the running of the football side of the club.

We have plenty of years in which our team was possibly not at the level of the other top 4 but because we had our shit together we challenged.

Nobody thought the team of 2014/15 had it in them to challenge for a title. Dembele, Rose, Walker and co were written off many times yet they got it all together under a coach.

I believe we are in a similar way, in terms of quality. Some players who can step up. I refuse to believe Lo Celso and Romero are not good enough.

The issue is we lack direction and stability. But I believe that 11 today, may be swap Dele out, is capable of being good under the right system.
Great post and Direction and stability are exactly what are lacking and why there is so much frustration.

We are not a million miles away from the top 4 this season. United and city look shakey, especially city. I’m willing to give nuno time after what I saw in that first half. if that’s the kind of football he wants going forward I think he’s going to do really well. Chelsea are the best team in the pl and will most likely win it this season the fact we got undone in the second half with a set piece and awful deflection shows we are not a million miles away. The pressing was what I remember peak Poch era so onwards and upwards. I also think if we play the same way we did against Chelsea against arsenal next week it will Be too much for them.

I know Chelsea are good team but this stat is mental:

"César Azpilicueta, Thiago Silva and Marcos Alonso (all 5) had more touches in the opposition box than Harry Kane (2) during Chelsea's 3-0 win against Spurs."

Whilst I have 0 faith that Nuno ever will be what we need form a either a style of play or league finish point of view, it is a bit harsh judging him now. Many coaches (inc Poch) say it takes 6 months to get their style across to the players, so we have to give him until at least Feb IMO, unless things are going South pretty quick.

If Nuno does end up being a bad appointment and we fail to get a back up striker in Jan window, Paratici has to go too IMO.

What’s Levy’s propaganda video going to be when Nuno goes? We lost sight of our DNA when refocusing after losing sight of our DNA, so this time we will go back to our DNA after losing sight of losing sight of our DNA? (Would love to see him trying to do that with a straight face) ?

nuno's not the problem. he might not be the solution but he's definitely not The Problem. sacking him would be a bit like rearranging the deckchairs on the titanic
Have you seen the deckchairs? They've all slid to one side of the boat. It's chaos!
I remember that nice Argentinian deckchair attendant - he'd always have a laugh with us and talk of his large cahonas.

I’m very glad he went for it, credit to him for that lineup. Chelsea are a class above us now as said as that is. Watch him on the touch line with his players though - there doesn’t seem to be much dynamism happening there. Are the relationships being built?

If we can take what we did in the first half hour and make that our new blue print, we'll be in good shape. Chelsea are miles better than us now and if you're frustrated by that then you have to direct that frustration at people who have been here since the CL final, not Nuno. Nuno is trying to arrest the decline and get us moving upwards again. He didn't cause the decline.

We have to take the game to opponents to have any success. That was encouraging from Nuno. I don't know if Nuno has what it takes to get us back to Poch-level performance, but he'll get more than a handful of games to try. The question is whether Nuno can stay on the front foot with that type of selection and line up, or if he reverts to caution against Arsenal and others. And the players need to get to a level that reflects that first half hour against all sides - not just a big derby - and get fitter to maintain the effort for the majority of games.

I think the big problem is no one believes in the club and project under ENIC anymore . The players and fans have given up, me included and they’re both kind of rubbing off on each other.

Based on his current psg team I wouldn’t touch him.
Potter was best option, but again his name was Potter and there is a film called Harry Potter. That seemed to be the general view for not appointing him by many on here in the summer.

I think Potter or ETH would have improved this team’s performances.

The other issue is getting the club to buy quality players instead of average stop-gap fill-ins.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before. But did Nuno bring along with him his entire backroom staffs? Or he actually ceded to Levy's request of keeping them to just 4-5?

I'm asking this because the coaching is horrendously out of depth and I'm not sure if the cap of backroom staffs by Levy is handicapping the squad. We are fucking lacking in every department of the play and it is really not surprising it is down to lack of personnel in working on the coaching for such a big squad.

I think this is spot-on

If you want to be successful, you have to put your hand in your pocket

Of course it doesn't help that we don't spend the big bucks AND our recruitment is derge

I can’t see him being sacked in the foreseeable future. Best thing to do is disengage with the club until he’s gone or the football improves considerably.

I can’t see him still being here by January. It was the wrong appointment in every sense. He was clearly not even in the top 5 of choices we wanted so in that regard it’s not really too shocking. Nine points after three games flattered to deceive. The Palace and Chavski result show where we are truly at.
