On a side note anyone who has watched the training video that came out today, the group looked in really good spirits, plenty of smiles and laughter (especially Sonny who can be heard laughing the whole video!) so this Kane stuff doesn’t appear to be affecting the mood in the camp.
Maybe they all just knew he was off as it was mentioned he’d been an arse around the place recently!

Tbh I loved him but after the Neville interview and how he’s acted this summer it’s good riddance as I thought so much better of him!

I hope our acceptance of City's offer is contingent on Harry putting in a transfer request and foregoing his loyalty bonus. He certainly hasn't been fucking loyal, and if I'm not mistaken those clauses are often worth up to 10% of the transfer fee. He gets his move, we get an extra £10+ million which helps make up the difference in valuations, and he doesn't profit to the tune of eight figures for having gone golfing with Neville and on his frolic and detour with Tom Brady while abjectly disrespecting the club.

Mouinho and Bale. Bale will have been in Kane’s ear last season and, to be fair, who can blame him. As has been said many many time I understand why Kane wants to go….it’s just it disrespectful way he has done it.

Agree and although it’s understandable at this point to focus our ire at Kane for the way he’s gone about this, we shouldn’t forget the conditions that have been created by the club that he’s lost faith in us seriously competing on the pitch.

Berba and Modric were much worse for me. Those two players are what elevated the club to where we are today imo. Yes, it's sad to lose Kane, but I feel like me might be a better all round team with the money re-invested. I know he scored a ton of goals, but I never felt like he dragged us through games like Modric or Bale did.
I think there's a distinct re-writing of history going on

I have to agree, football is becoming the illusion of a contest. But the reality is that more and more, everyday, it’s a chequebook contest.

The media went mad about the Super league but happy to see the richest teams hoover up all the best talent and pretty much do the same thing but call it the Champions League instead.

He pretty much did this all last season. We were fucking clueless without him.

What a mess this is gonna turn into. Can't believe people are enjoying selling our best player to city.

We won't sign any one as good as kane ever again. I'd have sooner kept him for 3 years and let him go for nothing than sold him. But then I'm a football fan not a bean counter who cares about maximising returns.
Nailed it, there is nothing to celebrate. It is a sorry state of affairs. Grim times lie ahead.

Fucking hell, it's not about maximising returns, is it? What's football about anyway? Winning? Most teams don't, but people still seem to support them.

No, football is all about belonging and togetherness. To be in the ground with (tens of) thousands of people you don't know, but still feel a connection to. And about the 11 players on the pitch, players you don't know, but still feel a connection to.

Kane has burnt his bridges. He's good, but other players are goos to. And other players are more worthy of our love. Seeing him play for us as things stand would bring me no joy at all.

So no, it's not about maximising returns. It's about letting go and being ready to love someone new.

Just wanted to pop back in and say fuck this petulant 2 year old snake. So fucking glad this schmuck is off. He's spent the last 4 months disrespecting the club, its fans & his teammates. Fuck him. I would love to see Dier or Pierre end his career with a heavy 2 footed ankle breaker.

That's it for me. Maybe ill be back in a few months. Maybe I wont. So long everyone.
Great post! Only time I’ve ever given you a winner rating but agree with everything you wrote. Don’t stay away too long. Need your unique insights into our new team?

To all the Bluemoon screengrabbers:

Your club is made of plastic and your owners are bloodthirsty scum who are using the club to sportswash the fact that they engage in slavery, extrajudicial murder, homophobia, sexism and racism.

Enjoy your acquisition.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out Harry. Personally I'd be embarrassed to play for that 'football club' but hey ho, I'm sure the trophies they would have won anyway without you will keep you warm at night.

Onwards and upwards. COYS!
