Dortmund felt it was too much

Mad. I remember seeing him in some summer tournament for us can’t remember how old he was maybe 15. It was so obvious can’t believe we let him get away. I’m not totally convinced he will be absolutely elite like £80-100m. But pretty convinced will be £40-50m player at least.

Good news. Hope he smashes it.

This is brilliant news, thanks for posting. Cirkin‘s been one of my favourites for a while. I don’t know how he’ll end up defensively and he’s not as good an athlete but he’s a much better footballer than reguilon and sess technically IMO.

Any truth in there being a behind closed doors friendly at the training ground tomorrow vs another near by team?

not sure if it’s seniors or u21’s as I know someone who is attending the training ground tomorrow who works in analysis for championship teams

Hypothetical question and a bit of a shower thought...

I was thinking about how good Dembele was for us and how there does not appear to be any player capable of replacing him...

From a youth development perspective do you guys think it's possible to develop a youth player with the appropriate physical and technical qualities to play a specific role in midfield over a period of 10 years youth development?

A bit like a full team of players that are optimised for each position?

Seemingly not

I'm sure people do think like this, but it's really hard to do

Sometimes think we had Onomah in mind for that but then it never quite worked out sadly.

Sunderland forum 123 page thread on Cirkin lol. Can’t really dispute they are a big club.

Probably the Cayman Island Cup. It was the first time a lot of people briefly came across him as he scored a solo goal during the tournament that was posted.

If Whiteman goes on loan then will Austin be third choice? Also, who’s the next keeper after Austin if he goes out on loan as well?

Weird how Football Insider keep getting the scoop on our youth deals ahead of anyone else. They were the first to call Cirkin to Sunderland.
