yes it was Kounde as someone said it was happening to me which was a complete surprise as last week it was not for us however if something has changed I said I would be very happy (y) enjoy the window everyone. My comments on HK are also well noted previously too before anyone asks. Sorry I don't post officially anymore but too many snitches and ITK tier bollocks!! xx

shame the wankers have prevented your knowledge, but completely understandable.

This is it for me, Levy might have said "you can go if a good offer comes in, but it will need to be big", HK, "like £100m?", Levy "over £100m"

Totally. Raiola, Barnett, Mendes et al are horrible leeches but for the players they're incredible to have on your side of a negotiation because they don't leave anything to chance.

If they didn't take squillions out of the game and into their own pocket people would see them in a much better light.

I'm not sure I totally agree with all of that, but perhaps that's a discussion for another thread.

However, going back to Kane, I remember that scene with him and Mourinho in AoN where they're discussing Kane's profile in the game and how he wants to be as big as Messi, Ronaldo et al.

Well Harry, me old mucker, the first thing you need to do is get Raiola or Mendes as your agent and ditch your mug brother!

I'm no expert on "Gentlemen's Agreements"

But it doesn't seem particularly gentlemanly to artificially lower your market price to benefit one of the richest clubs in the world to the detriment of the club that made you

That's the bit that really stings - £100m will NOT replace his output for us, it's not so much that he wants to go to Man City, it's that he wants to go to Man City and he doesn't give a toss about the state of the club once he's gone

All this just confirms to me that 99.9% of footballers do not love or see their clubs the same way us fans do. We like to think they have the same love as we do but they just dont.

sorry I disagree,

no transfers to freshen up the squad for 2 years is down to one man and probabaly contributes to why he wants out as lack of ambition was outweighed by the need to make more profit

It wasn't 2 years.

If a point is worth making, it doesn't need exaggerating to a mistruth.

Levy needed a bigger stadium for money. Most fans were happy with the Lane until Stratford. Yay, we have a great big stadium. Have we a better football team? Sure, we can wait while we adjust and pay off loans, etc. Meanwhile over in the considerably smaller King Power the only thing they need to enlarge is the trophy cabinet. It’s all a lie. A con. A business deal. The Emperor is stark bollock naked football-wise and he’s tea bagging everyone with his gas-lit vision of being a top club.
The club needed a bigger stadium to have the best possible chance of competing at the top level on a regular basis. We can't use Leicester as an example of anything, they've been bankrolled and breached FFP to even get in the top flight.

Look, Levy has made loads of mistakes and especially in the last three years, I will not defend him to the hilt but in his mind the logical scenario was "get a world class stadium, then use the income to build a world class team". Poch overachieved way ahead of schedule and Levy failed to adapt his own mindset. The decline in the last three years is entirely on him, but I understand his initial reasoning.

But this isn't the ENIC thread so I'll leave this discussion.

At this point I'm starting to suspect that City only made their £100m bid because Kane's people led them to believe that there was an agreement to let him leave for that amount.

How long before we get an announcement like this , for RM substitute City, for Bale substitute Kane...

was it with Bale or Modric that Levy tried to tell us it was great because the deal included a special affinity partnership with Real Madrid??

Poch? Because we've had multiple ITK say that Poch was rejecting targets in favour of either nobody or unattainable options.

Excactly, it worked out beautifully with Berba, Modric, Bale.

This is ENIC's Modus operandi.

I really struggle to understand why some of our base fall for it.

Or it just so happens that those players are of a quality whereby the very few clubs that could be perceived as bigger/better than us, and higher up in the food chain, want those players. There is little you can do in those circumstances. Man Utd have had to sell before to Real Madrid. It’s the modus operandi of almost every football club in the world because it’s what usually needs to happen. The fees recouped don’t just go into ENICS back pocket. Being forced into selling the player probably does more financial damage than good in a lot of ways.

If there was a gentleman's agreement that Kane could leave for a bid of £100m and Levy is now reneging on this agreement I don't blame Kane one bit.

The owners are the problem at this club, not Harry Kane.

sorry, but what a shite take.

Yeah it’s a such a shame, I’m old enough and tired enough of it all. The rigged way clubs like Abu Dhabi FC act. It really is younger fans I feel sorry for, getting these superstars on the back of shirts but deep down the players jump ship at the flash of a massive wad of cash.

Now that’s a banner worth making for the season opener.
Personally I'd like us to take the moral high ground, and not lower ourselves to his level.

If he stays or goes I'd like us to be completely neutral when his name is read out on the team-sheet, no singing about him, just absolutely nothing. Make him well aware that he isn't bigger than our club.

Think this is a bit tin hat even for you my buddy, my pal, my friend.
Which bit is truly wrong? The real lunacy is people thinking Kane turns from being the perfect professional into striking contract rebel bastard in a short space of time.

The fact Grealish rejected Man City is good for us - we then know they have 200m on two players... so now, fucking spend it on the one... for them its either Kane or nothing... for this season.

I am very surprised they havent gone straight in on Haaland or wait until next summer to get him for the 80m.

Ive said the same about Haaland all along, but there is some logic in going for Kane now too so can’t really blame them. If they miss out they can still go for Haaland next summer.

This makes sense could be coincidence but in the Neville interview Kane said if get a bid of 100 mil Levy might decide to sell him Neville laughed and change the 1 to a 2
