Do you really think that though? Like I know it’s tough to see him want to leave but I really struggle to blame him for not winning anything here. He’s either been injured or unfit in the finals, or we just played in a way which gave him no chance to do anything. You sometimes have to remember that he’s a cf and not a Steven Gerrard type player that can literally grab the game by the scruff of the neck.
This is a fallacy. I was at Wembley in 1971 for the League Cup Final against Aston Villa. Half way through the second half and everyone around me was muttering that we were going to lose the game. But we didn’t. Why? Because Martin Chivers conjured up 2 pieces of individual magic to score the 2 goals that won us the trophy! A year later at Molenuix in the first leg of the EUFA Cup Final against Wolves he scored 2 more brilliant goals to ensure we won the trophy. Big players turn up in big games and make the difference regardless of how the team in general is playing. Kane has had his opportunities in big games but not taken them. If he’s unhappy he’s not won anything he should first look at himself and his performances before slyly suggesting that it’s others fault he is trophyless.

If we really want him the stay we could try Liverpool’s tactics with gerrard ? Start burning Kane shirts outside of the stadium and going mental in the hope he makes a U-turn

?

If I remember rightly, he and his family were getting personal threats and his family home was being threatened with burning down. Strangely, he then changed his mind about moving.

He wanted more time off (read between the lines) last week. Reluctantly granted. Personally I wish citeh pay up, and let us move on from this soap opera.

Things are never so desperate that you resort to acting like a scouser. Give yourself a slap. Honestly…

Perfect scenario;

sell Kane for £180m

Sign 3-4 top quality players from the money

City getting banned from Europe for 3 years due to FFP and EPL dock them 20 points.

We actually sign good players this time and challenge.

son wins Ballon D’or and wins multiple trophies with Spurs, Kane doesn’t even get to ‘collect’ a trophy

:bored:....only on SC

The amount of you that were saying Kane will be leaving and you would not blame him when we had all the manager fiasco and before that when we were linked to game changers and got the "we tried"
Fast forward and now you're calling him "this that and the other"
I hold the club responsible for where we are now and the manager shit show just showed what we kind of been saying for some time.
Some keep saying it's different now as we got Fabio but we've not improved the first team yet! We got a kid with good potential but that's it.
The only good news we've had is Sonny's contract and I feel it's more to do with his love for the club and the fans than Levy or the board.

I still feel that Kane leaving could be better for us as some players would now consider coming as they won't be second fiddle to him. I just hope Fabio is as good as they say he is but most importantly, I hope Levy stays out of his way!

Carragher summed it up perfectly here. I trust he has far more insight on transfer dealings than what reporters learned in media school

I wish my boss was like Levy, and bully me with ridiculous wage increase and benefits for me to stay so that I'd be set for life. What a bastard.

I think it’s great he’s being vilified for his actions.

He’s experiencing the public reaction. It’s now up to him to decide if he wants to continue down this route of public backlash and hate.
That's kind of my point. We don't yet know what 'actions' he's taken. Maybe he has refused to train, but if he is simply not due in or had to take a covid test, then all that's happened is that he is now aware of a load of vilification from Spurs fans when all along he was due in tomorrow and was going to knuckle down.

I just don't think the reaction he's getting is proportional until he hasn't turned up tomorrow as well. I've got the patience to hang on for one more day, then I'll condemn what he's doing.

do you think we are going to be able to sign 3 or 4 top players now, just because we have money we are a far less attractive proposition now if Kane goes the goals out of this team with Kane and Bale gone are going to be soo difficult to replace

I don’t understand any of the sympathy for him personally.

If any of us fancied working somewhere else and just didn’t turn up to try and force it through we would be in breach of contract and rightly hauled through the shit for it.

I don’t think it makes any difference that he’s a football player, if anything he gets paid more than any of us could ever dream of and should therefore be held to his word even more so.

Don’t like it? Don’t sign a six year contract.

This is our price, it won’t drop, it won’t change. Give the oil club two weeks, and if they haven’t met it, looks like Harry isn’t getting paid if he doesn’t turn up for work, you know... like us ordinary folk.
