This is a fallacy. I was at Wembley in 1971 for the League Cup Final against Aston Villa. Half way through the second half and everyone around me was muttering that we were going to lose the game. But we didn’t. Why? Because Martin Chivers conjured up 2 pieces of individual magic to score the 2 goals that won us the trophy! A year later at Molenuix in the first leg of the EUFA Cup Final against Wolves he scored 2 more brilliant goals to ensure we won the trophy. Big players turn up in big games and make the difference regardless of how the team in general is playing. Kane has had his opportunities in big games but not taken them. If he’s unhappy he’s not won anything he should first look at himself and his performances before slyly suggesting that it’s others fault he is trophyless.Do you really think that though? Like I know it’s tough to see him want to leave but I really struggle to blame him for not winning anything here. He’s either been injured or unfit in the finals, or we just played in a way which gave him no chance to do anything. You sometimes have to remember that he’s a cf and not a Steven Gerrard type player that can literally grab the game by the scruff of the neck.
