Yeah it's a clear a 'come and get me' to City as it gets, whilst still trying to be balanced enough and respectful enough to Spurs fans should he have to stay next season.

Onus is now on Man City to put their money where their mouth is, Levy will not do it on the cheap and nor should he. Has to be in the £150m ballpark as a minimum.
Personally I don't see City paying 150mil for any player. We know they have the money to buy any player at any price but they are very careful on what they pay for players. They wont be forced in paying over the odds for anyone. They are very shrewd buyers. If they really want him they may offer say 80 mil plus a couple of good players to a total of 150 mil but not the full amount in ready's. Which of course could mean Kane stays another year he will be 29 less time on his contract and his price comes down.

Hmmm.

- ambitions to challenge
- strengthen 'rivals'

Come off it.

Seriously, this is not a criticism of you Herc, but we have ambitions to challenge, like I have ambitions to become the world's best player, and we're rivals in the way that I am a rival to Messi in that category.

Pretty optimistic stuff
I agree with you! But I was more speaking through the eyes of how I believe/think the club see it.

Also won 4 Champions Leagues. Which makes him one of the most succesful footballers of all time.

It's obvious that Kane needs to make a move if he wants to win big trophies.

It does, but it's the kind of thing that people will bring up to make the argument. He's never been in the mix for the Ballon D'or, which is what Harry talks about.

There are many players who have medals, but they aren't the individual achievements Harry also craves

what a bizarre interview. the timing, the content, the outcry over it.

I’ve been ‘meh’ about Spurs for a while, now somehow Harry has made me feel ‘meh’ about him too.

just all really odd.

Its sad, but I wouldn’t say it’s that odd really. The interview was completely stage managed to put pressure on Levy and to prepare the fans for the fact that he’s leaving.

Christ Sam Matterface is a fucking moron, how transparent can you get?

Also no idea why people keep peddling £100m as the asking price, if anyone offers that Levy will laugh them out of the room. Hazard went for £140m with a year left ffs.

Much of that was in add-ons, which definitely won't have been paid given Hazard's time at RM.

The fee will end up being significantly less than £100m, and that was in a buoyant non-covid market.

Isn’t that the reason that Kane will ensure a move happens, though? Levy thinks we’re in the same league as these teams when in reality this squad has been allowed to shrivel and die.

I just watched the whole interview. I definitely feel alot better now. IMO he's essentially setting the club an ultimatum to invest and get us competing at the top again, or let him leave - which I think is more than fair enough. The ball is now in Daniel's court...

I'd advise everyone watch the interview for themselves, try and block out the media furore and treat it fairly based off what's said. I don't think it's as bad as is being made out.
I agree.

He does say he’s at a crossroads and that he needs to have a chat with DL about the future, but he doesn’t conclude that he needs to move. Not at all.

Having said that, with the state we’re in atm, I do feel the time is probably right for him to move and that’s what’s going to happen

We're nowhere near a direct rival for City at the moment...but you certainly don't get nearing to becoming a rival by selling them your top players. That only widens the chasm.

Whether I love Kane or not, the timing of this interview is extremely selfish and may have cost us Europa. Even if I think the board needed to be put under pressure, it's still selfish from Kane.

I'm also now at the point of accepting that he's gone this summer in my mind and hoping to be surprised if he's still here.
I think the players have been aware of this for a few months and it has had an impact on the performance of the team. I may be totally off-base but I feel that Son has been especially affected by it. Its also the reason why, in my opinion, Kane needs to go asap. I know he is professional and won't strike etc but its clear his heart isn't in it and to compete at the top end of the league you need that total focus. There will be a negative impact on next season and the team with this hanging over us.

Now is the time to hit re-boot; get the funds in and support the new manager in re-moulding us.

That said I will always have a lot of time for Harry and can understand his frustration, even if his timing was selfish. All time Spurs legend whether he stays or goes.

Hope Neville gets his cut of the transfer fee after this. Bet he wouldn't do this with Rashford or Fernandes.

Fuck the covid market anyone who thinks he is going for 100m is deluded

I wouldn't be surprised if levy demands £170m especially to a prem club

Anyone who thinks he doesn't want to leave is in denial, IMO.

Whether Levy will actually grant that wish this Summer I have no idea. But must be hard to see Eriksen leave and win trophies, Poch leave and win trophies, Walker having a boat load at this point, etc.

Probably a stretch but I wonder if Bale coming back maybe made him think about this a little harder. He left and it was worth it & got to come back to play for Spurs again.
As did Sheringham and Kane models himself on him to some extent. I think we would bring Kane back if the money was right and should include that in any deal if we sell him. Look at Cavani doing a job at Utd for example. I still fancy 1 more year while we transition with a new manager and he'll still have interest from top club next summer. Possibly even more so if he has a good World Cup. One more season to close in on the Greaves record and if we win nothing again then jump to another top club for a few years, then return and get the club record and overtake Shearer too.

I didn’t want to say anything but I can’t keep my mouth quiet anymore. I’m actually very disappointed in Harry Kane, the way he’s handled things this week. The season isn’t even over and he makes this interview with Neville, basically saying he is wants to leave

A lot of Spurs fans was calling Kyle Walker a snake when he left, what’s the difference if Kane leaves to Man City? A lot of fans was really angry at Rose for making his interviews, what’s the difference now?

If Kane leaves for a British club I will lose all my love for him. I won’t hate him same way I don’t hate Walker, but I won’t care for him anymore same way I don’t care for Walker anymore

The club will always be ahead of any player, we support the club not the individual player

Having said all that I still think Kane will be here next season. He will try his best to get a move to Man City but I don’t think it will happen
Agree with every word of this.

He's been very badly advised, but I guess that's what you get by appointing your brother as your agent.

Well he's tried to phase it diplomatically but I'm not sure what some of his current team mates will think off this. I'm surprised he didn't say some of them need to 'man up'.

Anyway...the bottom line is this doesn't need to be said in public at all at this time so if poor form from Kane.

Have lost a lot of respect for Harry coming out with all this before the end of the season.

Like others have said, Walker, Eriksen and Rose got called snakes and got pelters from our fans for doing the same.

Maybe Harry Winks was right about Kane ?

Kane's time is up. Even if DL doesn't sell. His comments are going to divide the dressing room. Practically saying they're not good enough and especially praising players like de Bruyne's quality.
