The other constant drivel spouted by the media is:

Big clubs don’t sell their best players.

Hahahahahahaha......

David Beckham
Cristiano Ronaldo
Alexis Sanchez
Thierry Henry
Philipe Coutinho
Eden Hazard
Luis Suarez
Rajeem Sterling

I have probably missed some obvious ones too.

All been sold by the apparent top clubs in England who never sell their best players. Only little old Spurs do that.

The revisionism and hypocrisy is mind blowing.

Nearly all of those went abroad.

I don't get that logic. At all.

Big players leave big clubs every season. Players at lesser clubs still long to sign for those big(ger) clubs. Because of wages. Because it represents a step up in their careers. Because of playing in bigger games and bigger competitions.

If we lose Harry, we will have vast choice of players falling over themselves to join us.

It is not unreasonable to think that we are a little less appealing without the best striker in the world though.

Listening to the Fighting Cock, Flav said during his work with Sky that they’ve got an interview Kane’s done with Gary Neville that’ll be released on the 26th that he was told would be uncomfortable for Spurs fans. This is probably where Sky got their break from yesterday and where Kane’s gonna publicly break cover.

Yes, heard that pod too. About half an hour in the news drops. Ouch.

Can't wait for the interview....

Will it not be used towards the stadium costs

No.

The debt is all long term. The money generated by the new stadium alone will easily cover interest and repayments while leaving us with some £60m to spare per season.

If Kane is sold, the priority for Levy will be to reinvest heavily in the team. And before anyone says that Levy doesn't care about the team (which is nonsense anyway), the reason why he will reinvest is because it will be financially imperative. No point having a cash cow of a stadium if it's half empty because the team is in permanent decline.

Ings would only cut it as a supplementary striker. Certainly can't rely on someone as injury prone as him to be our main striker IMO.
Last season he started 35 matches. This season 29 starts so far with 2 matches left. He has played the vast majority of matches in the last 2 seasons so he isn't as injury prone as some think, but it's certainly true that he has had some injuries in the past.

Why does this keep being said?

In 12 months will Kane no longer be the world’s best striker, with two years on his deal, in his prime, totally not reliant on pace, and England captain? Is his head going to explode in July 2022 when he celebrates his 29th birthday?
His head explodes if he fails to obey instructions - Suicide Squad/Logan’s Run style.

If you leave, you die
If you fail to score, you die
If you pretend to be fit to play in a major final and then thoroughly underwhelm, you die.
You get the picture.

We would actually be more appealing to strikers than we are with Harry!

Harry's undroppability is the reason why it has been so hard to sign decent back up over the past five years.

If only we had the best striker in the world…

For clarity, Ronaldo and Messi have both scored 30+ goals in multiple years, and Ronaldo has done it at different clubs in different leagues.

Was that in yesterday's pod?

Get out, its relevant. He wants trophy's but as our *STAR WORLD CLASS PLAYER* he needs to not go missing in the games where he WINS his fucking Trophy. Banging one in against Liverpool in the worlds highest profile game isnt the same as banging one in against Brighton. Cleague finals and Cup Finals are games where you need to step up when you are one of the best.
It been said many times he was injured for both finals but was probably told to play. It isn't a one man team he needs the right players around him to win things and remember he's not just got the most goals but also the most assists.

We shouldn’t even have been trying to sign backups - we should’ve been trying to sign strikers to compete with him.

But the team has been allowed to decline to the mess it is now with Kane possibly wanting out because it lacks ambition so how does that stack up?

The point is that if we start winning he might change his mind. Big summer for Levy get the manager right and back him and most of this negativity goes away. If I were Levy I'd be spending big this Summer and if it doesn't work out sell Kane next year to recoup that money. If it does then CL and PL money should cover it anyway. Give Hitchen the reigns and see what he does with them.

That’s why I said things change quickly in football. If the stadium is full for a year then suddenly the picture is a lot different in 12 months time. A lot different.
