1 minor cup Since 2001, lovely.

I wish I didn't add those labels because they weren't the point. The point was demonstrating the upwards trajectory he was asking me to demonstrate. I make no arguments on whether or not our achievements are sufficient or acceptable.

Much better second half. Which proves we can play well. Strange that we don't do that from the off. Now, I'm not so sure I can blame Jose, as easy as that would be. We have maybe 5 top quality players, the rest are just good (ish) at best, and very very average. Most of our team have hit their ceiling. I honestly don't think even Jose can get any more out of them as they are simply not good enough and never will be. Top players are not just good, they are consistently good.

But we don't look to recruit top players that is another problem.

Tell that to David Moyes, who has Craig Dawson, Issa Diop and Aaron Cresswell in the Champions League places :cautious:

Yeah, I don't think Mou is the right fit for us either. I don't dislike him, never have, and have respect for what he's achieved, but his approach to the game is completely out of sync with the Club's footballing philosophy and history. I had hoped he'd be able to change and combine and integrate his experience with our traditional way of playing, but it doesn't look as though that's happening. If he started to turn it all around now, then he would deserve another chance, but I can't see him deviating from his brand of football. It's a shame, but there it is.
The thing is, he HAS deviated from what many have labelled his "brand of Football." We are currently more attacking and have greater possession against the teams we are expected to. The only deviation from this has been City, and anyone in their right mind wouldn't expect us to dominate possession against them.

The results have been mixed, but he's got us more front foot.

We have a run of very winnable games coming up, hopefully providing much needed points and, more importantly, much needed confidence.

We need to keep our powder dry here. If we don't see an improvement then yes, his position would likely be untenable.

One thing that struck me from the Amazon documentary is the luxurious environment the players rest and train in. Everyone sits around the cafe area and its all a bit matey, from Chairman to junior player. Personally I don't think that is a particularly healthy environment to produce motivated and tough players. I think we are soft and that is reflected in our performances. Most teams we play against seem much more up for it.

I think that we (our team) should win game against WU regardless but number of games that we loose by tiny margins , and unlucky events is staggering (second goal today, Son heel offside vs liverpool)
I would think that board should contract one of Adebayor bad Juju specialist.

They seemingly can't reply to a post without quoting themselves, though.

And I didn't draw the line. Excel has a nifty feature that generates trendlines based on the data.

No and I also didn't ask how many training grounds or stadiums we have built either!!!

Yeah they were a bonus and shouldn't take away from the general point which was demonstrating the upward trajectory. Think of it like the "+4 Free" chocolates Thortons sometimes add to their gift boxes

The 4 free chocolates. Jesus wept. Did you honestly type 'Number of stadiums built: 1', 'Number of Training Grounds Built:1' in to an excel spreadsheet?? Holy fuck if you did!!

No. I typed the number of free chocolates you'd get but somehow Excel thought that meant world class training and venue facilities. It has always been slightly overeager in interpreting the data inputted. Mostly gets it right but sometimes it means you don't get chocolates.
