Only an hour or so to go and nothing here about a move for Danny.
It goes to show how quickly things change.
It's going to be interesting what happens next if nothing happens this afternoon.
If he's still here next month I'd be very surprised as he doesn't give out anything positive to younger players and so why keep him around ?
It's a shame but that's how life works.

He should not train with the first team to avoid any kind of bad influence in the locker room. But we need to keep him fit somewhere and push for a move in January

There’s a lot of hate on here for Danny, guess everyone reacts differently to different situations. What he done on the Amazon show didn’t even bother me, he’s doing and saying what lots of professional players do. Just because you ain’t seen it before doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen constantly. There was a time where he was one of the best left backs in the league. Always liked him and I’m glad he’s played for so many years at the club. He might have a few issues, but I wish him the best whatever happens

I feel sympathy for anyone who suffers from mental health problems - it's not like having a physical injury that everyone can see & easily acknowledge. And the fact that Danny probably gets paid twice as much each week as I do per year, doesn't make him exempt (though having the money obviously makes it easier to get help, if that's what you want).

I've no idea about his current situation but assume he's not really what he wants to be - in every way.

I hope he's able to get the help he needs and move on - also (probably) in every way.

Nothing is black and white (except when he played for Newcastle :chicken:).

I felt empathy for DR in All or Nothing. His earnestness and intensity emphasised his vulnerabilities, rather than his arrogance. This is a person who’s struggled with mental health difficulties and it’s evident he wears his heart on his sleeve. It’s complicated because he’s probably a difficult person to have on the training ground when he’s unhappy but his passion on the field is admirable

It's sad what has transpired and Danny was a fine player for us who I still have a lot of admiration and respect for but honestly, it's probably best for all parties to cut our losses now and let him go on a free. He'll find a club.

I really hope Danny Rose gets a club and
is happy.
Worries me he is unhappy given his issues.
Was an absolute top notch player for us and I'll never forget that.
Thanks for everything Danny and all the best for the future, wherever that may be.

Can’t argue with that, unfortunately. Let’s hope things start to change in a few weeks time.
I’m sorry but of course you can argue against it. As though a multi-millionaire athletic star living in New York faces the exact same problems as a poor black man in the rural south. Racism in America exists and is a real problem, especially structural and systemic racism, and Danny Rose would be shielded from 99% of it due to his wealth and position. In a profession where black players frequently move to China, Latin America, Eastern Europe, etc, the idea that he couldn’t move to San Jose or Miami and have a lovely time making millions of dollars like plenty of other professional athletes is just wrong.

I think we all wished and hope that he would get his move to a new club this summer. Hope he does not rot in the under 23 team, he’s been loyal to us and deserves better imo
