Haifa have an energetic and organised midfield, but their defence is s-l-o-w and doesn't compensate by being organised. There's so much space for our attackers to get into the box and on the ball.
Winks took about 15 minutes to wake up; since then he has largely run the game. But there's a lot of combative chippy stuff going on in midfield. The difference is that, when they win it, they don't have the ruthlessness of our attacking players, except for one exocet from Chery.
It's good to see Lo Celso continuing to grow into the player we hoped for. I think we have a midfield now.

I think we now have a squad. Mou is working his magic. I can also see the deficiencies in what we had before. Sanchez, Winks, Davies, Moura ... Good footballers but ... great squad players. When we add in their replacements we should be one hell of a team.

Get Dele on for Kane and Sissoko on for Gio IMO. With Haifa needing to push way up the pitch to get back in the game there will be plenty of space for a front three of Dele, Bergwijn and Lucas to score more goals even without a playmaker, and Sissoko would give us added cover in midfield.

Just glad that we seem to have got this game under control in comparrison to our last couple of Europa games.
PEH has impressed me in the middle with the number of times he has just nicked the ball and been in the right place.
Kane off and Lo Celso and job done. PEH later in the second. Ready for United.
