I think he is coming in as back up and we will keep Gazzaniga unless someone offers what the club feels he is worth

I remember for England and around that period he was always weak diving to one side think it was ti his right..

But the fact I was getting annoyed that some random Turkish team hijacked the deal made me think I actually wanted him to join

Funny how the mind plays tricks like that

What I said is that he is bad enough to play for us in the dark times of the late 90s.

I get the quote, was supposed to list a few players after the late 90s. Andy Booth stands but the rest are late 90s players my bad, man I’m getting old.
Gazziniga is not good enough for us as a no 2 imo but I stand by my point of there being worse players since the late 90s than him

About time we actually sign home grown back up goalies. He might be past his best, but he has been places and seen things. In short, I'm fully in support of this move.

It is 2020
Jose Mourinho is the Tottenham coach
Joe Hart is a back up goalkeeper
No fans are allowed in our shiny new stadium

Honestly, who would have thought five years ago that our stadium is ready?
On that topic though. Which other clubs build a state of the art stadium and can't have paying spectators? Spursy IS a word that's very much alive.

That's human nature for you.

Quite a few times in my life I've split up with a girl and wanted nothing to do with her until the first time it was implied she was seeing someone else. Not sure what it is, but probably would be called FOMO these days.

Ok. I still disagree. I think he is as bad as any of them. His presence in goal and lack of ability to keep, organise the defence in front of him, and general erratic decision making left a lasting scar on our defence last season. It was bad anyway, and he made it worse

Back on topic, Joe Hart looks like he is going to knuckle down and will be a valued asset to Mourinho

Not sure he is past his best. Certainly his form has been a bit up & down, but GK can go on until they're 40 & very often they're at their best when they're over 30, so maybe there's still life in him yet.

I get that he’s English. Brilliant!

Problem is he’s been fucking useless for about 3 years now so it’s a pretty pointless signing

Absolute liability

It’s a game about opinions, will he replace vorn yup. Does it help with the homegrown aspect yip, his experience alone won’t do us any harm. I for one think it’s a decent signing, he’s not here to be our number 1, but he will push Gazzaniga for the number 2 spot if we don’t decide to sell him.

Who’s opinion is it that he’s still a good goalkeeper??

What evidence do they have??
