Verts signing off his last match day as a Spurs player with an Instagram live of him queuing at McDonald’s. Class act ? ?

Dier: “Queue is huge I think the whole team is going” :ROFLMAO:

He and Toby formed one of the best duo's in the world. Its really a shame that we didn't get to see more of the Ajax 3atb.

You know they're damn good when you enjoy watching a CB play.

Been top class for us. Had some superb games mostly and I'll always remember the 15-17 solid base we formed with him and Toby. Two classy and dependable defenders.

Another of the truly top players who have left without winning the titles they deserved with us. It's tragic when you can reel off names like Modric, Bale, Vertonghen, Berbatov, King, Eriksen, van der Vaart, Walker, Dembele etc and none of them really won anything at the club. Should have had medals coming out of their/our ears.

You were a great servant, Jan. One of the best pure technical defenders I've ever seen. Pure class and genuinely could have played any position well at his best. That Rose, Jan, Toby, Walker defence was the best backline I've ever seen at Spurs. Wish him all the best.

I shall look forward to seeing Super Jan come out at HT at a match for a chat with Paul Coyte drowned out by 5 mins of applause and 'Super Jan' so that he has a chance to have a good send off and see the apprication for the past 8 years at our club.

A quality signing who has been consistent, quality and helped take us up a level with our best Premier League side. He shall be missed and hopefully he will have a good couple of seasons at a good club.

Was Jan involved with a goal that was controversial...to do with being offside but was in our own half when ball was passed and goal was disallowed? Would of been a cracker as well lol

Anybody remember? Or might have that completely wrong.

Think was a PL game...against Sunderland or Stoke...

That's it! Thank you! Love looking back at all the interesting highlights of players who've had long and successful careers with us.

Gets the real appreciation going.

Still annoys me that goal wasn't given!!! VAR would of allowed it to be fair lol.

Greatest defender ive seen outside of Ledley. A Spurs legend. Will be missed. Thanks for your service to the club, Jan. Shame we couldnt give you the proper send off you deserved. Love you and hope we are able to welcome you back in another capacity one day.

Great defender. One of my favourites. Shame he regressed so quickly.

Always thought he could have contributed a bit more offensively, like in his first season.
Shame he never got a run as CDM. That would have been interesting I always thought, as he would have had the technical abilities to do this.

Thanks for everything. You will be missed Jan!

His performance against Dortmund was one of the best I've seen from a player wearing a Spurs shirt. He will be missed.
And where did he play? Left wingback! That in truth was his best position. People might not like what I've said but that's what I believe....he was always the best wingback at the club and ahead of Rose imo
