I’d be disappointed to not get this guy as even at £25m, it’s a reasonable price to fill the hole we have with a player with his experience of this league, the qualities he has and the age he is.

Still early doors in this saga, until he's got the shirt, it's still an option.

I actually can’t believe people are beating Levy with this stick. It’s fucking embarrassing.

IF true, and we still don’t know it is yet, and Everton are paying Saints £25m for a guy who has openly said he wants to leave the club and can leave for free next summer, then it shows how badly fucking run Everton are.

We should be nowhere near Hojbjerg if we have to pay £25m. If we stumped up that money then we’re unable to afford a back up striker, you’ll have these same agenda-driven idiots attacking Levy.

Grow the fuck up. As I said, it’s embarrassing.

If Mourinho sees him as integral part of his team for next season, we should be doing all we can to get him in.

That's what most are saying.

I'll tell you what's fucking embarrassing, doing the usual posturing that lasts the length of the window and then scrambling around on deadline day putting more low ball offers in whilst we duly get told to do one.

What? So just because there’s no evidence to say Mourinho wouldn’t want him, makes him the player Mourinho wants? That’s some real twisted logic.

Have we had ITK saying Hitchen and Levy have identified him as a target? I don’t recall any.
We have Jose saying that he, Hitchen, and Levy are on the same page and work closely together. We also have a month's worth of reporting from multiple credible journalists that Hojbjerg is the player that our transfer setup has identified as the target for the DM position. That would seem to suggest that yes, our scouting setup has identified him as a target. Unless you think that Dan KP and Ali Gold are full of shit, which would be a rather odd take.

Can’t imagine we will let him slip through the net and go to Everton if he’s a key target. Look at Sissoko.

As long as we bring in a decent DM that Jose wants I don’t mind. If it’s this guy then so be it.

We don’t know the full picture. For all we know we’ve moved onto another target. People need to chill out.

It's interesting how all these journalists begin parroting the same line after one dubious report. It's almost as if they know fucking nothing and are just jumping on the bandwagon to not appear "out of the loop" - surely not...

If Jose has his eyes set on him then Levy must hijack the deal, knowing him he won’t & we’ll be left with leftovers again

I agree there's no point in wetting the bed regardless of how it turns out. I was merely saying there's good reason to think Hojbjerg was the player that we were in fact targeting. Perhaps that was because we thought we could get good value for him, and now that events have (potentially) played out differently perhaps we'll go in a different direction, or alternatively will up our bid.

What has Jose said that everyone is saying Hojbjerg is his top target?

Do you think manager gonna come to press and say

"We have identified Hojberg, Aarons, Milik, Kim Min Jae as our main transfer target this window. Though I have reservation about Aarons because of physical stature and I want my club to look at Atlanta's full back Castagne whom I personally think more suited to the way I want my fullback to play in my system. Hopefully club will find a way to buy all these players for next transfer window."

I hope you don't think this way ..

Gosh! Isn't it exciting! :woot:

Or not. Until he's on a plane back from Everton with plenty of juicy airport and sky scanners ITK, plane tracking and the like, I'll just be over here.

I guess it depends on how much we want him irrespective of price. If we do indeed think hes exactly what we need we should match Everton's price.

My suspicion is the main reason for wanting him is because we thought we'd get him for peanuts or a swap for KWP. Everton have blown that apart.

Having to pay £10m more than planned for him could well mess up our whole transfer plan. That would be really sad for a club of our size but it wouldn't surprise me either.
