It's looking like we actually won't be seeing him back this season. According to this it's more complicated than his previous break, leading to a "much longer" recovery time.

Thanks for this - let’s hope it’s not as bad as this. Think I read he was out for two months last time.
Still baffles me how he played on.

Such a ridiculously unlucky situation. Sounds like the operation is tomorrow based on that. Fingers crossed for Sonny it goes well.

Return leg is on the 10th of March. Its possible that he might be ready by then with a cast.

Barcelona were allowed by Spanish FA to sign a forward today from Leganes because of their injury problems

Could you imagine the uproar in England if say we did the same thing and signed Pukki or Ings
And then Leganes were told to fuck off when they asked if they could sign someone to replace the player.

Korean media reporting he underwent surgery in Seoul on Friday. "Son had metal plates and pins inserted to hold the fractured radius in the arm. He will remain hospitalized through the weekend and remain in South Korea for further treatment. He will likely miss the rest of the Premier League season."

That's weird press association were saying this morning it could be 6-8 weeks still. Guess Korean media is more likely to be correct. That said I had a completely snapped radius and would say it took around that time frame for the cast to come off completely. It was completely immobile for about 3 weeks and then I had it changed to a hinge after about a month or so to allow more movement. Still have the plates and pins in my arm now 14 years on, and a handy scar. I'd be surprised if it'd rule him out for 3 months, the body heals too fast, unless they plan on a follow up surgery to remove the metal.

Edit: I mean it could well be them just basing it on this exerpt The club initially said Son could be out for "a number of weeks," but head coach Jose Mourinho was much less optimistic on Tuesday, saying, "I'm not going to count on him again this season."

Is it usual for players to have their rehab in their home country rather than with the Spurs medical team?

Honestly fail to see how a media outlet can know the exact specifics of his medical condition. Nearly 2 months after the England captain did his hamstring nobody knows the finer details. They are probably just guessing.
