Hilarious to drag him to Southampton on the cusp of a transfer and not have him in the squad. I understand he very well still could have been the "19th" man, but I still find it hilarious.
With him insisting on playing in a meaningless international playoff after he supposedly sustained a serious game ending injury just days before, then at best we can conclude Trippier had no idea when he was injured or fit to play.In an interview I read after he left he intimated that he was made to play through injury and players were scared to admit to being injured to management / coaching staff as it didn’t go down well.
