Heard some French journo earlier saying we'd have to compensate Lille €2.5M
Levy will probably bulk at that
Well he is a bit timid in his physique.

For weeks now we have heard how Levy wouldn't pay to get Poch out of his contract, pay Mourinho's wage etc. At some people should see this is bs. You know since it has actually happened.Heard some French journo earlier saying we'd have to compensate Lille €2.5M

There’s nothing wrong with that, but I was responding to someone saying it could be a sign Levy was gonna open the purse strings. What’s wrong with that? It’s how we’ve worked for years and fairly successfully.

He just spent about £15 mill sacking a popular coach and his entire staff, and has made Moutinho the second highest paid manger in the world.
Probably not the time for the 'Levy you tight ****' cliches.
Monchi was a great success at Sevilla and then Roma.I do get a little nervous about these "money ball" types moving on to bigger clubs. Sure he nailed on some recruits at Monaco but they brought in massive amounts of players and have seen just as many busts (although that is true across every club). Reminds me a bit of the famous one who moved from Sevilla to Roma and hasn't been a success at all.
Cautiously optimistic I would say.
That's impressive. From the Wolves midfield straight to the managerial top.
Great at Sevilla, not good at Roma.Monchi was a great success at Sevilla and then Roma.
He's now gone back to Sevilla
Edited, and reported for member abuse.
2 years is no time really to judge a Sporting Director though is it and it all depends on how invested the club were in having the role. I take your point though that he has only really had obvious success at Sevilla.Great at Sevilla, not good at Roma.
The problem with a FD in England is that you unearth gems that no one has heard off. Unfortunately, these players need first team playing time to develop that they won't necessarily get in the premier league. that's why it works better in other leagues.Haven’t then just paid €3m for Mourinho’s other backroom staff. €2.5 for a talented Sporting Director who has apparently unearthed so much talent, seems a steal.

True, often the success is more about convincing a young Bale that we are the right club for him.The problem with a FD in England is that you unearth gems that no one has heard off.
