I mean the prospect of finishing 6th and playing boring football but winning the EFL Cup doesn't fill me with any great sense of excitement.

I’m no Mourinho fan, but shit football is shit football. A European trophy would see me celebrating for weeks on end, even if the football is shit.

This is officially the poorest period for trophy success this club has had in many decades.

Would you take season with Mou, ended at 5th and won Europa League or season with Poch, ended at 4th and CL Final with matches against Ajax and City?

We all say Mourinho is boring.. But he is a man that first and foremost wants to win!! Given the attacking talent he had at Madrid in his 3 seasons there they scored around 330 goals! His teams know how to attack and he sets them up to know who and when to play attacking.

Though to clarify this isn't me saying we should go after Mourinho or even sack Poch at all. Just that he can set teams up to score plenty with the right players.

If mourinho comes, I’m officially on a break from football until he’s gone again. I’m disenchanted with the game as a whole anyway and I can’t stand that man and want no association with him

5th and Europa.

Winning a final vs losing one...
There have been some bad takes in this thread but this takes the crown. 5th and Europa over our season last year.

A thrilling 3-2 aggregate win against Anderlecht instead of the city excitement. 2-1 aggregate win over Celta fucking Vigo instead of MOOOOURRRAAA!!

Final was anti climactic but that cl run gave some of the most exciting games I’ve ever seen.

I've got a little bet on with myself to see if we can get through an entire page of a Poch-related thread without someone bashing other Spurs fans.

Haven't won yet...
Take a munchie from petty cash on each page until it happens, you'll feel full in six pages.

Feels like the fans on this forum have certainly made their mind up on Poch. I am still in the "give him some time" camp as it's a scary thought as to what our next move is but Hercs and Trix info seems to suggest that there are bigger things going on behind the scenes which may force the clubs hand.

Sadly there are no candidates that I really want other than Rodgers who would not come in my mind. Mourinho is a spent force and poisoned both Chelsea and Man United pretty quickly and hasn't tactically changed with the times.

I think some of that is opinion on Herecs part(at least I hope it is). I certainly don't think we have vast amounts to throw about, but I'd be surprised if we didn't have a decent budget in upcoming windows.

Im sure you’ve said that in the past and JJ has also said previously that things will be different financially now we are in the new stadium. I really don’t think there will be a lack of cash. But in part now, I think that will be driven by champions league qualification (when previously it wasn’t). If and it looks increasingly like it this year, we don’t get CL then it’s a perfect excuse not to spend. When in reality it’s exactly what will be needed.

I can’t believe that anyone would take a series of uneventful wins against sides that would be mid table in the EPL over some of the most pulsating games we’ve seen and a run to the champions league final !

If the two competitions were equal in stature then I could understand some people swapping the drama and fun for a win. But this is like swapping a World Cup final for winning the nations league.

Ooh baby it’s a wide world

I can tell you all now the rebuild(should Levy back it) will be far bigger than most of you think. Certain players might be saying the right things to the press, but it's not what they are telling their agents. Levy is now aware it's not just the so called "wantaway" players that will be pushing to leave if Poch stays. One player in particular is just not replaceable imo. Levy is aware of how it is, so let's see how this plays out.

all Levy’s fault then as expected, thanks for the stadium but please go now.

agree. Just another excuse for Levy not to spend.
