In previous years I'd certainly feel that was the case but it does seem that Juve approached us about him not the other way. So I don't feel like we can really jump on the club about this. You've got to grab these opportunities.

Basically what you said, and also add that we are not the club some fans still think we are. I wouldn't be overly surprised to find that some fans don't believe we've built a new stadium.

Was just a pr stunt by the club imo, a little flex of the muscles. I don't think we are actually trying to sign him

Think LC and RS will move forward in the final week of the window.

Don't think our attack needs anything really. Our weaknesses was midfield and fullbacks last season no matter what flashy name arse sign

Think it's been covered already but why on earth do you think a club as big as Spurs are now, would lower themselves to a West Ham/Newcastle style publicity stunt ??? Utterly bizarre way of thinking imo

I'm still looking for someone to really justify the hype around Dybala when you look at his international record, going missing in big games, lack of passing composure, and just a decent goalscoring record for by far the best team with hardly any competition in an inferior league.

I think here's way too much Football Manager and YouTube excitement going on. Personally, I don't want to sign him.

He was far better than before last season however my view is if he was as good last season as he was before then we wouldnt have much of a chance of getting him.

I think the only way we can get really top tier quality is when they have a lull in performance and take the risk... the statement is still there as it were but perhaps a fresh challenge is what you count on.

He isnt finished obviously and is still pretty good but just because he wasnt great last season doesnt mean he wont be good for us and is the perfect timing to sign someone like him. He would be a catalyst for further signings in the future.

True.. I was very excited about Lo Celso coming in now if we just get him after Dybala it’s a bit merh when it shouldn’t be
This is spot on, can imagine most fans in favour of Dybala are feeling like this now. Didn't think it could happen because I really really want Lo Celso too. I would still be happy but also have that feeling of a missed opportunity to see Dybala in a spurs shirt.

I've never really seen him play apart from against us, and then obviously tried to block that from my memory. So i can only go on other peoples say so, the stats and 'experts opinions'.

If he really is a proper top tier/grade A player (and by that i'd mean Hazard/Kane class, better than Son/Eriksen) then christ, we do everything in our power to get him if it's actually a viable signing.

However, if he's not in the class mentioned, then i think i'd be a little disappointed if we got him at the expense of Eriksen or the Lo Celso transfer. But right now, i really don't have an proper idea how good he is so can't get too excited or too worried.

Yeah, just because you don’t rate him it means people who play FM or watch YouTube vids are the only ones excited.

I despise FM and have watched him loads, he was also electric against us last year. He was considered one of the world’s best talents a couple years back, it would be one of the biggest coups in our history.

Prob won’t happen, though.

Football manager information is actually being used more and more to help clubs sign players

Yep. I don’t see how it benefits the club to raise expectations among the fan base of us signing an elite player, when there’s no truth whatsoever in it.

We were all pretty delighted if we signed GLC and Sess, but now we’re all wanting more and we also panicking because GLC has gone really quiet.

I don’t see any benefit to Spurs leaking a made up rumour about Dybala.

Castles has just clarified that the Dybala info is from Ian McGarry on his podcast. No idea how clued up he is but maybe more reliable?
I just listened to the podcast and this is what I got from it
?our interest is very real and we have money to spend
?dybala brother is his agent
?he earns 7m euros net a year
?Juventus looking to get rid to recoup money after de ligt, Ramsey, raboit acquisitions
?hes unhappy at juve
?he is open to my move to us
?utds interest hinges on lukakus sale

I dont know how true all this is but listening to them makes me think that there is a real possibility that this will happen.

While many are having their annual meltdowns, I'm of the opinion that,

1. We will sign at least 2 (sess, LoCelso/Dybala) more players to go straight into the first XI/team
2. In all likelihood, we'll have to sell one or two.
3. I couldn't care less who anyone else is signing
4. Regardless of anything else we had a solid team, brilliant manager, world class stadium, and the season starts in 2 weeks and I cant wait.
