The final last year was held in a stadium with a similar attendance to ours. Year before that, similar capacity with the Millennium Stadium. This year it’s being held in Atleti’s new stadium, not much bigger than ours, which is still dwarfed by the big two teams’ stadiums in Spain. They don’t just go for the biggest stadium possible. Not sure that's possible seeing as UEFA's go to stadium is Wembley, more revenue as it holds more seats.

Every chance that we can host the final when you look at the history of venues.
Right but when was the last time it was hosted in the same city in a stadium with a smaller attendance? It doesn't make any sense for them to choose any other venue in London, they'd be missing out on 25,000 seats which is big money.
It’s at Atlético Madrid this year... see Real Madrid. It’s a smaller difference, but still a pretty high profile example taking place right now.

Of course he does, and it would be a great venue.
However, how would 'the powers that be' decide which set of supporters get the single tier stand?

Same as dressing rooms. One will be the home team one the away. Decided by the draw.
That's what I initially thought, but it's slightly different having a fairly selected/drawn changing room & having 17k of your supporters in one of the most intimidating stands in the game?

Not really, probably partly why it is known as the home end. Paxton is same capacity i believe.
That’s what Mrs B tells me frequently...Agreed. And it shouldn't be about size. It should be about rotation and atmosphere.
