Hold on.....why is everybody losing their shit like we've just sold Harry Kane or something?

We played almost the entire season without Rose and it didn't affect us at all. Personally I thought he still looked way below his best at the WC and at the age of 28 I'm not really sure he's worth keeping, particularly if the offer is good and it helps us to sign someone in a position that we need to strengthen.

Ben Davies showed he's more than capabale of being 1st choice and we know KWP and Vertonghen can play there if needed, although I'm sure we could find an adequate backup option.

Really surprised by the meltdown. I'm really not fussed.

What about Wolves? They sold Barry Douglas the other day plus obvs closer to his roots.

I would have thought if he was going to United it would hinge on Martial. Giving up Rose + possibly Toby while getting a big middle finger from Woodward on Martial is not going to happen?? ?

They afforded Moutinhos so I guess so. Don't know much about them other than their link to that agent. They seem quite flush with cash.

Rose was a really good player a few years ago, but his mental health issues seem to have really affected him. Not just from his play (which has been pretty poor since he returned) but from his general demeanour, he just seems to have lost the plot quite significantly.

I really, really liked Rose. I was watching a video of a match from a few seasons ago last week, and it really hit home how different everything is about him now. The intensity, the fitness, the passion. He's a shadow of that player.

He might pick it up again at another club, but depression is a really debilitating issue and it will be tough for him to start again. I think it's probably best for both parties that he goes and gets a fresh start, and we take the money.

A real shame, but that's life.

Flip, missed that one, some signing for Leeds, he was great last season.

Rose will be off to one of the big boys though, wont be Wolves surely.

I'd love that. Grimaldo links were doing the rounds a little while back. Scored a peach of a free kick in Benfica's ICC friendly the other day... Finally! Someone who can cross consistently? (Perhaps?)
